I love Minecraft. I thought it was lame when I first heard about it. I HATED it when people said it was like Lego because I love Lego., but my son figured out how to watch vies on YouTube and discovered a fellow who calls himself Stampy Long Nose. I thought it was incredibly weird to watch video s of someone playing a video game, but eventually I was won over, and we established a routine of watching the videos together quite regularly. After awhile I decided that this game looked like a lot of fun, and I FINALLY bought it and started playing it. It is a bit like Lego. Eventually I became a fan of Keralis because just like Lego, I prefer to follow the directions, and Keralis has some really great building tutorials. My first night on Minecraft was ridiculous. I found the difficulty settings and switched it to friendly. I have always played my world that way. I got lost once, very early on. I had to start all over with a new mine and a new house. It took me a LONG time to find a swamp, a village and some horses. The first server I played on is hosted by my brother. It's just him and his sons on that server. I died straight away when he invited me on to play, so he switched me to creative. I had never played creative before. I went crazy building stuff every day for a week or more. Then, I finally started exploring larger servers. I tried a couple of prison servers before I decided to try Sky Block. Oddly, this is not the first sky block server I found, but I screwed up my island by turning my water to stone and then loosing all my saplings. I couldn't figure out how to start over, so I found a new server. I like how Sky Block lets you start a new island super easy. I had to do that once here. Now, I'm up and going, and my island looks really awesome. I like trading with other players. It's almost like making friends, but there are SO many people on this server, and its hard to remember everyone's weird gamer handles. Mine is no better. It's my last name followed by my first initial, super lame, but there it is.
Glad you're enjoying skyblock, and minecraft. Welcome to the forums as well. It's all pretty addicting. Hehe.
