When you're on a sinking ship, I'm pretty sure the bottom is supposed to fill with water before the top.

 

So you cite the physics behind a boat rather than the fact you can free form multiblock structures high up in the air with absolutely no scaffold or support from any other blocks as to why Minecraft doesn't make sense. Not to mention the fact that sand "obeys" phsyics but no other blocks does.

You can put stationary dirt in the air. Physics can't even in Minecraft.

 

You cut down a tree with your fist, You place water with a bucket, Runs forever

 

Not to mention having an iron bucket able to scoop up molten lava, or even being able to get near the lava to scoop it up in the first place.

 

Not to mention the zombies/living skellies/creepers/giant spiders/other mobs that don't exist IRL liek iron golems and such....

Or the fact that a door and sign can hold up water and lava, even though there's obviously enough space on the sides for it to flow through
