Hello, excuse me if my post isn't the correct format, ive hardly posted on these forums.

My name is Brechristian (.org, 25$ donor) now I have been selling items (or at least trying to have been), including spawners lapis etc etc etc for out-of-game Steam Wallet. BEFORE I started doing so I was told by a moderator (KEEPER_OF_FLAME im sure it was) that this was fine. then today I get stopped by Bdark's Alt account, Mallificent I think it was and told me to stop, she directed my to the forums, looking at SitStealYourGirl's thread post about buying/selling for real life money.

Being as respectful as I can, (as I try to respect staff members, and pretty much everyone) I said steam wallet is NOT real life money, and I used the analogy of 'tokens of an arcade' , the 'tokens (steam wallet)' is ONLY viable to steam (the arcade) and NOTHING else. and as we all know, tokens are not real life currency. as I said many times to this moderator, I will be HAPPY to oblige to all rules, as long as I am 100% certain that I am breaking a rule, I will stop, but so far I don't think I am breaking a rule.

I would love to have some clarification of this thread by an admin or owner, as I strongly feel I am not breaking any rules, again, steam wallet is not real currency, sure you need real life currency to buy it, but lets say I ask for a fluffy teddy bear or a piece of lint, im not asking for money, but you need irl money to aqquire those things.

I wouldn't say that this is legal, since you do need real life money to get Steam wallet. Essentially, it would be the same as trading for PayPal money. You are trading in-game items for something that doesn't benefit the server. Given that there are mixed opinions on this, I will tag CypriotMerks to see what he thinks. Please be patient. Steam wallet cash is still RL Currency... Like you said, you need RL currency to buy steam currency, but it still has the same function as RL money, also

that steam currency isn't going towards Crews Servers is it? So technically It isn't allowed

 

oh, sorry! didn't read that second quote darkstar, I will discontinue me selling items for steam wallet money. thank you for showing me a direct quote as I said I would, I wil abide by the rule

I don't know much about Steam, sorry. The way it was explained, it sounded like points that would be traded, and I suppose I didn't think it through very well. This is also why I said that if another mod had an issue with it, you would need to stop, as they might understand it more. Sorry about my confusion.
