As many of you are aware, it is possible for donors to use /fly and travel from /warp stafflist to the mob arena. Mob arena is not meant to be accessed by people who are not competitors, to prevent cheating. However many people continue to fly over and interfere with the arena. More frequently now than before, there are donors who fly in with /god, and prolong the arena match until long after all of the competitors have died. This means that it is a very long time before people can play again, due to cheaters. I suggest a glass dome roof to be built above the mob arena, to prevent cheaters from illegally accessing it, and making the arena more fair and the waiting time between matches shorter. Attached are 2 screenshots I took of a donor who had flown in and was using /god, among other enchanted items and even a horse.
Back in the day, ma used to have a roof, and back then i didn't have /fly and, to be honest, i didn't see much when i was in /ma s. However, spectating without a roof doesn't make a very big difference, so i support adding the roof back.
Hm. They cannot interfere, as they did not register within the MobArena plugins standard entryway. The Mobs cannot hurt him either way, god or not. Now, a donor, who thinks he can think of getting away with it, can use /god before the match, ending up in a moderator having to deal with it. Donors can fly above or in to get a closer view. The stuff glitcher was carrying, was not generated by the mobarena. Either way, his player is unable to damage or to be damaged. Now. The only thing that he can truly interfere with if he stands in front of a player, whilst a skeleton is shooting, only interference I can think of. If I need to elaborate more, please say.
Omg its me in the pic What Jokata said, Yes, it is illegal for Donors 100's and above to join the mob arena using /ma j with GodMode Presently On, But as What happend today, I couldn't kill the mobs at all, and they couldn't kill me, I just like to go in there and use it to get a super up close view, But at one time there was a glass roof, and I rode my pony up there PS. What Resource/Texture Pack is that? Me on the horse just looks kickbutt.
It IS illegal to enter mob arena with god mode, but when you fly in, it is just a close up vies. i go there daily, and while the mobs can hurt me i cnt hurt them.
I found that mobs can hurt you, but they won't deliberately attack you, so the only way you can get hurt is to fly in front of a skeleton. The only thing I think that should be changed in the mob arena right now is to make it impossible to join with /god on.
Yeah. I know people do it. They do /fly on their island then do /ma s. I've only done it once (with the permission of a mod) to take some screenshots of the lovely arena
support but not for the reason you think. Its for the gosh darn glitch that people make use of. they get blasted onto the ledge and then camp there. The roof can reduce these glitches. I dont care about donors flying in, just pay no attention. not like they look like mobs, and half the time people camp in the corner and dont fight so whats to get distracted with. And if you think someone riding a horse in ma is fascinating... well lets not go there
Never said it was fascinating but it seemed pretty picturesque to me so I had to screenied it I took the screenshot for this thread from my archive, didn't take it just to make this suggestion
As long as they don't interfere in any way, it should be fine, but I think having a roof would be a good idea, or you could use world edit (have Cyp do it) and make an invisible block roof, so you can still see it well, but you can't interfere just a suggestion.
