This test wasn't to offend anyone or call people out, so I'll keep names out of it. I purchased a new MineCraft account about a week ago, made the account, found a skin and joined in .net. I decided to act as a new player, I asked for help and was ignored. I private messaged mods and was ignored. The funny thing about this is I was multi-logging so I could see the staff chat, and the staff were talking in there while ignoring the chat. Only two Moderators replied to my alt account, two. I talked to every single .net mod that was active. So players ignored me, and moderators ignored it. I did the same thing on .org and the moment I said hello I got a hello from every staff member that was online and from most of the players, I asked for help and players jumped at the chance to help me. I thought of taking it to the next level and asking people who had applications open for help, because if like they said in their application, they'll be eager to help me! Nope, of course I did this multiple times across the entire week, which explains why I wasn't on as much. This is sad. I hate when people ignore each other, skyblock.net needs to communicate with each other more, that's a big issue here. Non-donors don't have to be left out because of their name color, I would hate to be ignored.
Same, this may seem like a bad idea but maybe non-donors should get a prefix too, it would help them stand out more
This is funny c: I also went on my alts one day and did this and got the sane results only one donor helped and responded to me :/ and they made my cobble gen so I die in lava..
That's a common mistake, people try to help you, but forget you actually spawn there. They try and make it so your generator is efficient by having a two-way system. Hidden Content: **Hidden Content: Content of this hidden block can only be seen by staff members**
I personally love how this thread is about how the mods seemed to ignore players in game, and the lack of communication on the server, and out of the 15 replies so far, 6 of them contain hidden content.
This is something I hear about a lot. I usually see people in chat on .net saying that no one talks to them or they need help and no one helps. I always try my best to help everyone, but I sometimes can't help because I'm already helping someone else. I can't really agree with you when you say everyone ignores new players. I've only been on skyblock for 2 weeks, and got donor about 4 days ago, making me a pretty new player. But I've never been ignored. The moderators have been helpful, although most are too busy to do more than briefly answer my question, but that is entirely understandable as they have jobs to do. Aside from that, those with applications pending seem to be the friendliest people I've ever met. The donors on this server have wen incredibly kind and patient with me, as soon as I ask for help I get 3 tp requests and about 5 messages. There are always people like Supapah and tkjpie who spend nearly all of their time helping new people. I've been ignored on nearly every server I've played on, but not skyblock. We have an extremely friendly community. Ignoring by mods tends to happen during peak hours. Tl:dr: I think that .net's community is fine but I do agree that we could be doing more to help new people.
A lot of it are Moderators asking if they were one of the people and that they will try harder, etc. My first one is telling them to start moderating the chat, and my second was a reply to Krissy who was explaining her situation.
