    Hi guys,

I am new in this server. I noticed that there is a command which /warp. I couldn't find any guide on /warp.

Can anyone explain what exactly /warp does and what can we do in the warp?
And also the advantages of using /warp.

A detailed answer would be deeply appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!

The warp command allows you to teleport around the skyblock world essentially. A warp is basically just a stored location that has a name. For it to work, a warp must be set at a certain location with a certain name.

To use the warp command to actually teleport to a warp that has been set, do
    /warp (name)

    For example
    /warp rules

Now there are some differences in warps between the servers.

On skyblock.net and hellblock.net there are a few public warps set, and I believe those islands are all protected. Now, to see a list of what the public warps are you can simply do /warp
When you do so, you get a list of names, warp names. These are all of the currently set warps on those servers, so those are all of the places you can warp to.

However, on skyblock.org players actually have the ability to set their own warps, the only public warp owned by the server is /warp shop or /warp adminshop which actually warp to the same place. So on Org, the /warp command by itself is disabled, there is no complete list of all the warps. You can find out about warp names in global chat, or sometimes you can go from warp to warp via "warp walls". Which are walls that some people will have with signs that have warp names, or actual "warp signs" that when right clicked, will teleport you like the command does. (Also some people advertise their shop warps in the Org trading section here on the forums).
    Uhm... so on skyblock.org
To set a warp /setwarp (name)
To delete a warp /delwarp (name)
To delete any warps you have (non donors only get one warp each, but if you forget the name this is helpful)
    /clearwarps (your username)

I believe that's pretty much it for warps. Any questions? Or does this clear you up? :)

    Awesome answer you gave there!

I am on org server and i have been to some of the people's warp. I noticed that the warps are actually well built.

Are those warps actually their islands itself?
or when i do /set warp <name>, will I be teleported to a new huge space to create my warp?

Most of the warps I've been to are mostly shops that sell items. So do players create warp and teleported to a huge space just to create a shop island for people to buy stuff?

    Thanks!

It's their island. :) When you do /setwarp (name) it literally just sets an anchor to the space so that people teleport there when they do /warp (name-you-set). So no new space, just your island space.

When you start an island, you get a space 49 blocks out from your bedrock in all 4 horizontal directions, then right down to the void and up from your bedrock 256 blocks, I believe? I'm not sure on exactly the space up or down, but it's a 99 by 99 space. :)

So a lot of people will have their main island and build their warp off to one side, usually boxing it into a room. :)

So, basically /warp command is just similar to /tpa command? just that /warp command is for the non-donors so that they also can get people to get into their island to pay a visit.

    Am I right?

    Thanks

Kind of. The warp command also allows people to visit when you're not online and you don't accept the request, they just tp there automatically. :)

Is there any other questions, or is it alright if I lock this now?

If this is the case, I will need to have someone with world edit powers assist me with my island. I thought we had larger areas to build in, so I am severely overlapping my boundaries.

The very top of building is 256, so you get a 49x49x256 area to build whatever you like (EXCEPT swastikas)

Yeah I'm already overlapping by ~15-20 blocks over the edge of my allocated space then.

If your neighbouring islands are not used/griefed, then I guess it is ok (Mods have let me be a little over) but be wary, if someone does /newisland or /newisland replace, then that extra space that you used, will be wiped out.

Yeah, that's my concern. I am alone in my area, or at least it looks that way. I'm laying the foundations for a 11k block construct right now, and would rather have it fixed now than when it's done.

That, or figure out if I can have increased building space.

If you want, I can help you move all your items within your limit.

It's not items. I'm about half way done constructing a 41 block radial disc, block aligned for a 83 diameter disc. It's a large symmetrical structure that if would prefer to have world edited over.

Everyone gets the same building space, yours will not be increased, sorry.

As for world edit, the only ones who have it are the admins at this time. There are two admins, and they can be quite busy. I'm not sure if they would move it for you, but if they would, there might be a bit of a wait. In the meantime you are at risk of the neighbouring islands being restarted, in which case you will lose the blocks and items that are outside of your island space. We don't refund for items lost in this manner as you are technically outside of your space.

Personally, I would suggest collecting the blocks and moving them, as it's probably the fastest and safest method.

However, I will leave this open for now in case anyone has a better idea. :) Otherwise, if you would like to request that the admins move it using world edit, I would suggest you create your own thread. However, as I said, it's not guaranteed that they would do this, and if they would, there may be a wait.

Sorry about the confusion in which you thought you had more space.
