    World Downloader
    Save multiplayer worlds!
and Download Multiplayer Servers to Single Player mods are both mods that allow you to download the maps of servers.

    What does it save automatically?

      • All blocks that are within your range of vision (typically 160 blocks in each direction) as you move around.
      • From height 0 (bedrock) to 255 (clouds)
      • Your position, health, inventory, experience, gamemode (creative/survival), the time and the weather
      • Mobs, animals, and villagers
      • Items that lie on the ground.
      • Picture frames, minecarts and other special things.
What does not save automatically? How can these things be saved?

      • Content of chests, ender chests, and dispensers -> Will be saved whenever you open them (right-click)
      • Ingredients and products in furnaces and brew stands -> Will be saved whenever you use them (right-click)
      • The note of note blocks -> Will be saved whenever the note is played (click/right-click/redstone)
      • The seed value of the world -> It is no longer sent by the server. If you are op, you can use the /seed command and World Downloader will detect and save the seed automatically!
    What can not be saved?

      • Records that are in record players.
      • Chests that you cannot open
      • The spawn position if it has been moved (by the admin or by sleeping in a bed).
      • Offers from villagers are not saved at this time.
      • Other human players of course

With this Minecraft mod you can download parts of multiplayer servers into your single player folder. This will allow you to play in these worlds offline.

I'm going to say no. Obvious reason being that this could be used as a griefing tool for scouting out islands. In fact, I'm removing your links for this very reason. The only known allowed mods are optifine and certain nodus mods (and cosmetic things like ponies, more capes, stuff like that).

/fly, speed hacks. instantly saves all islands you fly over and through. granted you'd be scouting when you found them originally, but this would allow you to simply fly by, save the island into memory, and move on.

If you were to do that, you would only see the blocks placed on the islands, nothing in chests, plus if you wanted to go griefing, why waste the time saving the world, just fly over to them and grief them.

I have /fly already because I bought it. I would pretty mutch just save my own island, all the warps, ma j, and spawn. This way I can practice before I join and also play if I am at a house with out internet.

Island owners are on, plotting a good path, not having to stop at every island, finding clearly inactive islands, using a speed hack, you could (in theory) fly past an island at speed 5 without looking at it in depth, and then come back to it in single player to see what it has worth stealing. I'm aware you can't see into the chests without opening them, but I'm talking about straight up block griefing, not looting.

Your changes wouldn't go to the actual server though, so if you played offline, you'd have to redo it once you got on. There'd be no point in saving the warps, as you'd have no way to get to them in single player unless you fly all the way to them or use cheats to tp back and forth, not to mention ma j plugin wouldn't transfer to your save. You can play normal skyblock far more easily.

Fact is, these are the same reasons we don't have a download file of the server (also because the net file is bleedin' huge, but still). You wanted to know if this was allowed, and I've given you a pretty good reason why it wouldn't be. You might not think griefers would try to use something like this but fact is, some higher up donors would definitely want to do this. Lots of high rank donors are/were griefers in their time, and what better way to plan which islands to hit at what times than a single player save of the world?

Still, you could just fly to them on the actual server instead of wasting time, which most griefers do, just go to them, don't plan ways to get there, just fly there and grief it.
Also, I'm pretty sure lots of people would've used mods like this before, as it is stated no where that it is illegal, it's legal for now. Don't ruin dis for us pein ;-; xD

This thread is infact questioning its legality, so in making this thread, we can decide if it's illegal or not ;)

We've no official rule on a lot of things, and most of it falls under the rule "Use common sense". Sometimes we hash out the details of what this means. I'll get some more mods in here to get more opinions going.

Even if it is enforced as illegal, doesn't mean people wont do it, there is no way you can find out if someone has saved the world.

Truth, but saying it's illegal will scare away some, and give me a reason to make this thread disappear except the part stating such a thing is illegal ;)

I know that the change wouldn't go on it would be to prototype idea. the warps and ma j would be so I can try to come up with new designs for them.

As mentioned, I cannot in all technicality stop you from using this. I can keep an eye on you to see if you ever grief, but I'm not saying you can't use it cause we really can't stop you.
This here is the only reason I'm actually here debating this:

    what? xD

I found someways of stopping it, pretty sure the server uses Spigot so, How to stop most people using world downloaders on your maps. | SpigotMC - High Performance Minecraft and if not PROTIP: Using TNT as a one of the random blocks for antixray obfuscator is good against World Downloader : admincraft

idek why I'm showing these, because I'm probably gonna use World Downloader again xD

I think we do as Spigot lets all 1.7 versions on.
Plus, you can do it without Spigot. :3
