Lately the last few visitors on my island have all said that my island was making them lag to the extreme. Just curious if anyone knows why? I'm also experiencing a lot of lag right now. Parts of my island aren't even visible, and I keep getting timed out.

 

What kind of blocks do you have there? Some stuff generates lag especially redstone clocks.

 

I do have redstone. Possibly the reason I guess.

 

Animal farming, especially semi-automatic or automatic ones, create lots of lag. Also, a huge quantity of animals will produce lag. Some blocks will as well of course.

QUESTION: What server is this. Part of my answer is only for .net, and part is only for .org.

 

If the lag is a big problem I suggest shutting down the redstone while you aren't using the machinery. It's the best you can do.
