Hello, Can someone help me with a co-ordinate issue. I have been accused of griefing someone's island and have always maintained that we only destroyed blocks on our own island. The logs all show that the destuctions were done 25 and more blocks away, so I need help finding out how far our island is away This is the one of the screenshots from the report showing that the griefee's island is at x=-38095 z=-30494
Islands are 49 blocks x 49 blocks. Just count out from your bedrock. Anything past that, is another island. I think that's what you're asking.
The next screenshots show our destructions at 25 and 100 blocks away. The x cordinates are shown on one as 38099; the z as 30557 This means, if I understand correctly that the 100 block away wood destructions were done at a distance of x=1, y=83 blocks away. We have no co-ordinate info on the 25 block away destructions, and the moderator will not help me by telling me how far away my island is. My question is given these co-ordinates, is it really proof that went to another island and destroyed blocks? PS if anyone is able to look at the separation between these islands it would be very helpful. Thank you for any support on this matter, zackempire.
Thank you for the reply, bdarkslyer. Unfortunately, I cannot count anything, as I've been banned. During my appeal, I found out that I was banned because I destroyed blocks. I am trying to prove that the blocks I destroyed were on my own island.
Make sure you mention this in your appeal, and ask the banning mod to allow you to show proof that you only built 25 blocks away from your bedrock. You are allowed to build up to 49 blocks away from your bedrock in the x and z directions. But it does NOT allow you to break or place blocks further than that. It is important to remember that bridging is illegal no matter what distance, and griefing/placing/breaking blocks further than 49 blocks from your bedrock is illegal.
blaq, Thank you for the reply. I'm not sure that you understand the issue, which is this. I had been playing skyblocks for about 4 days, building my island with cagebat and another player. Over those 4 days we destroyed some blocks on our island as part of our work. We may have over-extended our island, and now that I know the limits would not do that again. Whilst we were building we did notice a bridge coming towards our island, and I now realise that we should have reported this. Suddenly cagebat and I found that we could no longer log on and had been banned. A neighbouring island had complained that they were griefed. The moderator ran a script from their island and discovered that we had broken blocks in the last 4 days. These blocks had been broken around 25 and 100 blocks away from where the script was run. Therefore because there was a bridge, and we had broken blocks 25 blocks and more away, we were banned. The moderator refuses to tell me how far apart the islands are, so I do not know how to prove our innocence. Going to re-appeal without this vital information seems pointless, as it seems the same moderator will deal with the case. Thank you, zackempire
If you have broken blocks more than 49 blocks away in any direction of z or x, then you have bridged or griefed. It doesn't matter how far apart the islands are. Just admit that you bridged and apologise and that'll help you much more towards getting unbanned.
Blaq, I did not knowingly break blocks 49 blocks away from my bedrock. Can you run the script from my bedrock that shows block destructions, so that I know if I did something wrong or not? My island co-ordinates are roughly 38099; the z as 30557, and the time would have been towards the end of June. I will gladly appologise when I understand what I did wrong, but I have never knowingly gone to someone else island and destroyed their blocks. Thank you.
