Personally, I think the donor ranks should get a different name. Maybe their own respective names for each different amounts of donation. With the new EULA thing, people who decide to donate to the server (I think you can still "donate" to the server if it doesn't provide any in game advantage of sorts) don't gain anything out of that. And the term "donate" is more like you're spending your money voluntarily for a good cause.
I think I made this really confusing so sorry about that, but I'm sure you all know where I'm getting at ^^

I like the names they have... donor is short for donator which is what we are sorta doing but getting something in return, I think that donor is fine. With the new EULA rules this would be great because we are a donor to the server from where we are not getting anything in return. You should also think of a name that you would rather have than donor ^^.

The thing is most people here aren't "donating"
They're "buying" their "donor" rank so I don't know how I feel about that.
With the new EULA, you would be only able to truely "donate" to the server.

Ofcourse not, but since this is a discussion sub-fourm, I thought it would be interesting to have a discussion =p

Edit: um you should add the edit section when you edit your post >.<
But anyways, I'd say something like SkyKnight or something like that, because we already have that SkyGod thing >:3

Edit 2: Unless you didn't actually edit then I'm just blind and my mistake

What would you like the new name to be if it was changed?

Although I agree with your point of most purchasing these titles, not actually donating for them, however I think the name fits good.

    "No one"
I liked it and I'm sure I'm not the ONLY person that did.

The 'advantages' that Donors get are what I would consider to be 'rewards' or 'appreciative gifts'. It is only fair that people get something out of donating. I don't really see why you are complaining about this anyway... if you are a non-donor I then I guess I understand.

Also giving out these little 'rewards' helps to motivate people to donate, this server and website needs money to run and stay up, so adding a few things to tempt people to buy it is a good idea in my opinion. Unless... you don't want Skyblock to always be up.

I'm confused why people think this is a complaint, this is a discussion thread after all.
donate - definition of donate by The Free Dictionary
I'm not saying that people shouldn't donate, just defining the difference between "donor" and "consumer". If you take a look at the URL it clearly named "shop" Skyblock | Welcome
No need to go all "Unless... you don't want Skyblock to always be up." =p

I was just adding some mood to le conversation. But still, it is kind of a marketing thing, donate for benefits.

Um I think you still don't know what I'm trying to get at here, so let me give you an example.
In a real life scenario, a person wants to buy a gym membership. He approaches the front desk and asks for a gym membership (I dunno how gyms work lol) and the guy said "You have to donate x amount of dollars if you want a membership". Sounds kinda strange doesn't it?
Let's say a new player wanted to get himself a rank, so he goes to the skyblock home page and try to find a shop, but there isn't any except to donate. He goes in to the donate section and finds all the items and ranks listed with a price next to them. Doesn't that seem funny?
I hope this clarifies a bit, and I'm perfectly fine with us keeping the donor rank. AND I AM NOT COMPLAINING. Just making sure the next person go all "ooh seiko y u cmplin u so mad get rekt m8" ^^

The reason it's a donation is because it is 100% optional and you don't need to buy it to access the server or it's features
