Hey fellow Skyblockers, I haven't introduced myself as of yet but some of you may have seen me around, maybe buying/selling or notifying people of illegal activity or warning them of being temporarily banned (eg. spamming). I have been wanting to be a Moderator on many servers before this one but unfortunately about 90% of them shut down soon after I applied. Basically, I haven't been a Moderator before, but hey - there's a first time for everything. Before I get too carried away I shall start the actual application. Please read it and leave me feedback on what I should add or do for more of a chance

Age: I am currently 13. I may seem a bit young but trust me on this, I'm quite mature.

Country: I am from New Zealand, a few people may have heard me talking to some of my fellow Kiwis.

Languages: I speak fluent English but that is one of my only strengths in different languages. I learnt a little bit of German (Deutsch) in school but I don't know very much. I'd be willing to take on 'lessons' from another player if necessary.

How long have I been on Skyblock.net?: I'm not sure on the exact dates but I believe I have been playing for 2 months, this place is already my home.

How long can I play each day?: Here's some average times, they may vary but they are quit close. Monday - 4-8 hours. Tuesday - 2-6 hours. Wednesday - 4-8 hours. Thursday - 2-6 hours. Friday - 4-8 hours. Saturday - 6-10 hours. Sunday - 6-12 hours.

Have I been banned before?: I hate to admit it but yes, I have been banned before and I'm trying my best to never make it happen again. The reason I was banned was for using a hacked client :/ The second time I was banned it was an accident, I was using the client on a single player world then decided to go on Skyblock.net, oops! I love this place and I'd hate to say goodbye to my friends. Timezone: New Zealand Time Zone (UTC+12:00) There are very few Moderators online - sometimes none, when I go on. I believe I could help out as I've seen many people require assistance from a Moderator but have none there.

Now, you may be wondering, "Why do you think you suit this position?" Well, here's why:
Helpful: On Skyblock.net I have been very helpful, offering advice, doing some labour and occasionally giving some items away. I often host drop parties as I enjoy seeing people actually listen to me, sometimes I feel like I'm just another brick in the wall.
Caring/Dedicated: I am a very caring member of the Skyblock server and I have had a few people before say, "we need more people like you on this server," So ever since then I have been at work doing my best to point out mistakes or something that could get someone temporarily banned (eg. spamming). Spamming and counting down are common things I pick up on in the chat, I also try to warn people of dangers, for example; someone setting the flower at /spawn on fire.
Reliable/Active: I am a very reliable person and I try to be as active as possible, sometimes I can be online for 5 hours, maybe more just making the server a brighter place, adding humour and also being on 'patrol' for people doing illegal activity.
Fast typer: I can type fairly fast and I believe this is a good skill to have for replying to offers, questions and also pointing out something that could get someone banned. I believe my fastest WPM (words per minute) on a test at school was 65 but I think I might've been lucky, it;s normally around the 50-60 mark.
Mature: I am able to talk to people of all ages, throughout school I have had to show many people new things, some people were 4 and some were as old as 65, not that you'll see many 65 year olds on Minecraft.
Smart/Friendly: I am very intelligent (one of the smartest in year 9 at my school) and I am able to be a good role model to other players. I get along quite well with the Skyblock community and I am willing to help anywhere I can.
Familiar with commands: Throughout my 2 years of playing Minecraft I have encountered many different commands, on Skyblock.net I am fairly familiar with the commands, though I'm not a Donor so I'm not 100% sure on all of them. I know a lot of useful commands though

Extras: I don't have a lot more to say because I believe I have pointed it out in the text above. But I would love to thank you very much for taking the time out of your day/night to read this and I hope I can be inspirational to anyone who aspires to be a Moderator, I say, "The only way to succeed is to try." I would greatly appreciate if any feedback could be posted as a reply to this and I will try to be as active as possible on the forums, though school may get in the way. I hope you can seriously consider whether or not you think I should be promoted to a Moderator but if I don't get chosen there is always another time.

We need more mods from different countries to be on during different times. All too often there are no mods on at all and rule breakers go un-punished.

 

Thank you Falkanor, there are sometimes very few, if not, no Mods online when we are on so I think I could help out some people that are in our timezone or people that are having late nights in another country
