    Hi everyone,

The title may seem a little odd, but let me explain.

The definition of a forum mod is a moderator (Like Krissy and others) that can do different things to threads, posts and bans. Seems when someone becomes a mod they automatically become a forum mod, I am suggesting another type of mod that might be valuable to the server as well as give a lot more people a chance to gain mod.

My suggestion is that, on the server there are Tmods, Mods and Supermods, well, there could be a new type of mod. Names might be along the lines of ForumMod or FMod or something like that. In the actual game, they cannot complete any normal mod action, but on the forums it would be a different thing.

This can be used as a trial to see who would be a good mod on the server. The job would essentially entitle:
    • Taking over appeals if the actual banning mod is unavailable to complete their task
    • Take action to threads (Move, delete, etc.)
    • Help mods (appeals for example) when needed
    • Comment to threads with the entitlement of a mod
    • See hidden posts
    • Tag Mods
As well as the server rules, there are also the forum rules. The ForumMods will be able to take action for the following:
    • I thinkBan accounts (Temp or Perm)
    • Unban accounts
    • Warn people (Grave digging etc.)
    • Put an actual warning mark on their name
    • Delete posts
    • Post in mod only threads (Appeals only when needed)
    • Move posts
    • Tag mods
    • See hidden comments
I think that this is a good idea is by correctly undergoing this ForumMod job, they can essentially be trusted to become an actual mod for the server. As the unspeakable SuperMod (Long since banned forever), this would also make the servers safer. Rather than accepting someone right away, they can undergo this to prove themselves.

Please comment below as well as vote to your comments on this.
    Thank-you

No. The mods right now are fully capable and there is barely a time when there isnt a mod online.

Mods do fine as it is with the forums, since when we are not in game, a lot of us mods are on the forums. I mean there was a time where there were forum admins, but its not exactly a role that is needed right now. Im still a user of the forums and i am satisfied mods already do a good job.

The whole point of this is not to get more mods on the forums, but to give a trial to the new mods so nothing happens like the situation with that Perm Banned mod who nearly destroyed the server. It is only as extra protection, not to get more mods on

o_O That's the point of the trial mod rank, which is where all mods currently start out. It's basically the same thing, with limited perms in game as well (which is actually more useful).

It wouldn't make much sense to have forum mods that don't have any perms in game, and there isn't so much about the forums that need to be learned that there needs to be a pre-rank before trial mod.

No support. Sorry, I just don't see it as being necessary. Trial mod is the rank to see if mods can handle the job, and the forums do fine with just the current mod team staffing them.

I've said this before, I'll say it again. This isn't going to happen. There are plenty of mods that are mod on the forums and we're on here more often then we are in game. This suggestion has been turned down multiple times by Cypriot and I see no reason that the opinion would change.
