    While Cypriotmerks has recently (less than an hour ago) made RTW illegal, there is nothing in the EULA old or pending in the new version preventing RWT.

    The problem lies in the fact that people are reading more into the EULA than is necessary.

    There is nothing in the EULA that is preventing two individuals for trading time for money in RWT. Items gained/acquired by one user required the time to make that possible. The other individual pays for said time by not having to spend the time to acquire the items themselves.

    This needs to be re-addressed.

    ONE MAJOR RULE
    The one major rule is that you must not distribute anything we‘ve made. By “distribute anything we‘ve made” what we mean is “give copies of the game away, make commercial use of, try to make money from, or let other people get access to our game and its parts in a way that is unfair or unreasonable”. So the one major rule is that (unless we specifically agree it – such as in brand and asset usage guidelines) you must not:

    • give copies of our Game to anyone else;
    • make commercial use of anything we‘ve made;
    • try to make money from anything we‘ve made; or
    • let other people get access to anything we‘ve made in a way that is unfair or unreasonable.

    It says you can not make money of anything we've made. Which would be selling in-game items like diamonds for Irl money because mojang made those items its theirs.

    The portion they are discussing in the EULA is commercial use. Trading items for time, which has a monetary value is not a subset within that statement. You could ARGUE the third bullet point, but that form of statement in a EULA has already been stricken down in courts, RE: World of Warcraft, ad nauseum.

    And what exactly is stopping an admin from going on an alt to make a loophole?
    Nothing.

    That loophole was covered in the Q&A, no items are to be sold for money.
    Just because it doesn't state users or owners, it doesn't make a difference.

    Also, it's a rule you cannot trade in-game like that, so no. Nothing is said that the EULA caused that rule. It's a rule, follow it. Don't disrespect to find loopholes.

    Terrick,

    Stop pretending you know anything about Law, legal or otherwise.

    Your argument regarding admins making an Alternate account just to do real world trades is irrelevant to the situation at hand. If that's what they have to do to keep things running without getting caught; that's their business. You just provided them that loophole. Crew and 'Merks should thank you for that.

    The interesting thing that you're missing right out of the gate is COMMERCIAL USE. Try looking it up.

    Stop trying to act like Dirty_Ninja and think you have all of the answers, thank you. :)

    It's illegal until further notice, cyp and crews decision. Archiving.
