What should I do? My friend bridged...

?

Do I report him or help him fix it?

  1. Report him for bridging. It's illegal and he should've know.

  2. Help him destroy the bridge and replace anything he griefed! He didn't know...

My friend made a bridge to an island that he claims in uninhabited, but it's a really big bridge. If it was small enough, I would have destroyed it for him, but I'm not sure what to do. If I tell a mod, then he'll be banned, but he didn't know that it's illegal to bridge. I don't think he actually griefed the island... at least from what I saw. Should I report him or attempt to help him destroy the evidence that he was ever there so that everything is back to normal?

Whether the island was inhabited or not, even our friends aren't above the law. A moderator should be told about this. That is not to say you have to be the one to report him. Though premeditated, I think he should be the one to make an appeal. If I were a mod, assuming his appeal was polite and well written, I wouldn't ban him. Taking advantage of this learning opportunity rather than making it a judgement call. So have him make an appeal, banned or not, he should acknowledge what he's done and apologize for and refund any griefs.

Let him check out amnesty definitely. Let him make the decision to fess up on amnesty or not. If he refuses to try out the amnesty section, I would report him, but put in a good word saying he didn't know. Think how you would feel if you were the other person.

She didn't tell the username. Or the coordinates. Just the situation.

He shouldn't have bridged. Just b/c it is "uninhabited" doesn't mean it IS uninhabited

Ikr. I'm trying to be nice, though, and help him destroy all evidence that he was there. You know, put back everything he might have taken and destroy the bridge.

D: He just bridged to SO many starter islands... Idk how I can fix them all!!! He says that he fixed it... but he only destroyed the bridge. How can I get help for him without getting him in trouble?

Hmm... He says he can't get to the link. Idk. I don't even know him very well. I just kinda like helping strangers xD
But seriously, I don't want him to get in trouble, but something has to be done. I think he did the bridging a while ago, at least from what it looks like. D:

That's it. I'm just ditching this situation. I can't handle it; he keeps trying to talk about other things when I try to help him and he just refuses to try to fix this. He says mods have been on his island and said nothing and just... Ugh

If he doesn't want to fess up, then you should report him. He won't have the same chances that we would've had if he'd gone with the amnesty approach, but the lesson has to be learned. He just has to learn it the hard way now.

Yep. Like I said before, he he won't do the amnesty option, just report. And thank you for upholding the law :)

D: I'd make a terrible mod xD I can't even report people! Is there a way to fix all of this without him being banned?
