I'm slightly allergic to apples, watermelon, and carrots, but I eat these all the time. They just give me a small soar throat.

Not me, but my brother is allergic to quite a bit. Peanuts, a life-threatening allergy, although he has never had to use his Epi-pen, and his only really bad reaction was when we learned he was allergic, when he was a baby.He used to be allergic to milk and eggs, but grew out of it.
Also, fun fact, I'm vegan. So UpsettedFizz I know how the soy life goes XD Have you tried the Cuties? They're little soy ice cream sandwiches. OMG they taste so good.
keeper_of_flame Your allergy must really suck. I'm interested, how do you make things without grains?

Mostly almond flour/meal. XD Uhm, there's also chickpea flour, arrowroot flour, potato and tapioca starch. Oh! And flaxseed. I put ground flaxseed in anything that would usually be a grain, for the fiber. :p

Uhm, there's actually people who live on a similar diet... by choice. lol It's called the Paleo diet. I get paleo receipes all the time and then tweak them (I have to subst for corn products, and I can still eat things that aren't allowed in that diet, like I can have goat cheese and peanuts. :p ).

And then sometimes I just take regular recipes and tweak them. I know substitutions for like... everything. lol I find if you're replacing wheat flour in a recipe it works best with part almond meal, part arrowroot flour and part flaxseed. :p Or sometimes just almond meal and flaxseed works well enough (like with pizza crust).

That's really interesting. I put flaxseed in a lot of things too.

Yes Cuties are a common treat for me :p Since they're so small I always have a few, I already had a couple today in fact :D
