• Full exact Ban Message: I recently joined a coop with my friend (starfishwalkler) after coming back from a really long break even though I was on from time to time. I then figured we needed some rails so I made a rail duplicator not knowing that it was illegal. I did this because I checked the rules making sure it was not illegal and sure enough it was not in the rules. So I figured it would be okay to make the rail duplicator. I then used it two times to get a four stacks of rails. I then got rid of it because that was the only time I was going to use it. I then leave skyblock.net and comeback on today and my coop partners said I was ban from rail duplicating.
• Did you read the rules?: Yes, I read the rules and it said nothing about not being able to make a rail duplicator, it said nothing about duplicating at all.
• Why do you think you were ban?: I think I was ban from "rail duplicating" but it doesn't say in the skyblock rules that it is wrong to duplicate so I thought it was alright to make the machine.
• Was this a incorrect ban?: I believe it was a incorrect ban. no where in the rules does it say rail duplicating is not allowed.
• Were you ever ban on SkyBlock? If so, why: I have been ban before around like a year ago a [mod] Akrill ban me for saying 1 2 3 4 which became something like #1 Skyblock.net is a awesome server!! 1# I then got ban from that with a appeal denied and i took a break for 1 and 1/2 years.
• Why do you think you should be unban?: I think I should be unban because I didn't know it was wrong because the rules failed to tell me duplicating is not allowed.

Not all rules are explicitly defined. Rail duping would most definitely fall under the 'use common sense rule'

Duping of any kind is most definitely not allowed.

Now, you were also recently banned for griefing, is that correct?

 

NIH301, no I was ban 1 year ago for say 1 2 3 4 which like said something around #1skyblock.net is awesome. 1#
I was not recently ban for griefing.

 

OK, I am going to ask another mod to come in as he is under the impression you should be banned for griefing.

NIH301 I hope in my regards to my apologies that you will forgive me for I have done wrong. I will correct my self and will not duplicate rails anymore. No I didn't sell any rails I was just going to use them to maneuver around the island.

 

However, I did not get around to placing them around the coop island.

Ok, so had a think about this and since you didn't appear to trade any of the rails, and just used them for your own island, I am going to reduce your ban to a temporary one. Duping rails is still illegal, and if I find that you have done it again, you next ban will be permanent.
