Here is my proposal. Lots of people will disagree with this and it may be bad for business but it could be for the best interest for the players.

Just wipe the whole server except for plugins.
Donators keep their donator ranks.
Mods could stay mods, or we can completely promote new moderators and demote some of our current staff.
Every item in the server right now, removed. Just completely removed.
All island gone. You have to start fresh.
Maybe a brand new spawn.

Benefits:
Economic Boost
Illegal Trading with items such as Gravel, flint, ect. eliminated. (Of course not starter items)
Better server in general.

However, this may cause some people to quit the server. On the contrary, this opens slots for new players to join as well.

Lots of our old members have quit Skyblock due to it becoming boring and not as entertaining as it was at first. If the server was completely wiped, they could come back. Work on their islands, try to be the richest player before anyone else gets to it as we are starting from nothing.


If you dislike this idea, just leave why in a reply and I will put my input on that.

I overall think this would be a great idea however not everyone may agree. Think about this before you agree or disagree.

 

I definitely do not support, lots of us have put serious efforts into our islands, and some of us have a huge amount of rare/creative items that we would like to keep (I don't really).

 

For me it wouldn't be about loosing the riches - it would be about all the hard effort that myself and many other people have put into building, so no support, none

 

Well, I haven't built anything on my island that I have spent so long building for around a year now. The only reason I have to go on Skyblock is to get rich and just talk to friends.

However, thank you for your input.

I know some people pay real money for in game items, they would be at a huge loss financially if this were to happen.

To he honest, I don't care if Im rich, I just spend it all on my island so all I care about is enough to buy what I need.
The main problem is where people have paid others for in game items, or diamonds from the shop, it'll all be chargebacked.

I do NOT want to lose my 3 diamonds that I got from FromLegoUniverse . They're a special gift from him and I do not want to lose them. And also... my island... 7 months or more of hard work and that I'll lose the memory of my lack of creativity. I would've like to restart, but something like this... h*** no. I do not want to start off again as a noob. Never again...

Here's a server that this has happened and I do not want to have this happen again.

There was this server where I had a huge chest of diamonds, stored safely in my claimed house. It went all so well, and I had a huge fortress that no one could've been break. One day, the diamonds and fortress disappeared; 2 months of hard work GONE. I was super pissed off as this was a huge nightmare.

I strongly dislike this and that it will piss me off to see a tiny island again.

.Org has had 3 resets. Two of them because of economy related issues.

I'd love to see some change on the server, and hopefully it's for the better.

 

Maybe keep enderchest items or something. So it's not completely done for. But I do agree, a fresh start may be in order.. though it is a controversial suggestion and probably won't be carried through due to split opinion. Personally I think we would benefit from it.

 

I am split on this one.

On one hand, it would be good because taking away all items would restore some financial problems (Beacons were worth 3-6 diamonds 2 months ago, now they are worth 30-40 diamonds). This would also give the poor people the chance to be rich and have an equal economy with all players to start.

On the other hand, people with huge islands that took them a long time and a lot of money to collect resources and build their islands, would be really annoyed that they have to go through that all again (me for example, my island is build to the max size with a lot of things on it, and it took me 3 months to build and about 30 diamonds in total). Also, people with a lot of good items would lose them all. for example someone with a noobcrew head (worth 750 diamonds) would lose it.

In total, I think it might be a good idea, but there would have to be a condolence to people who lost a lot of items. Like when people start, they get a stack of grass, stack of iron blocks, stack of gold blocks, stack of diamonds, an enderchest, 2 spawners and the choice of a beacon, a jukebox, or a mob head.

This would not only be somewhat fair, but would set the economy back to the way that it was intended.

 

I honestly wouldn't mind so long as I was able to keep a few of my hard earned rares (So basically I think the enderchests shouldn't be wiped) However I think a lot of people would hate to lose their island, so I doubt that this is actually going to happen.

 

This is a good Idea but I can't support at the same time because people put so much work in their islands like me but I have a proposal of wiping all redstone related items because that's what's really causing all the lag.

I'm stuck between the pros and cons
Pros: like you said, fresh start, fixed eco.
Cons: I would lose lipokin's signature, the only one in existance, along with other valuables that took me a long time to achieve, and lose my island with it's many memories as well.
