Server name (.net / .org ): Skyblock.net In-game name: Masogir Full exact Ban Message: Illegal trading, appeal @ Skyblock Forums - Demon Did you read the rules ? Yes, I know about all the rules. Why do YOU think you were banned? Trading 32 dirt blocks Was this an incorrect ban? No, I wanted a sapling and I traded 32 dirt block to get it. Were you ever banned before on SkyBlock? If so, what for? Never banned on .net / .org servers. Why do you think you should be unbanned? I didn't think that trading 32 dirt blocks was a huge offence and didn't think this rule would be strictly enforced. I was wrong for doing so and I will not break another rule. With this ban appeal, I want to state that I apologize for trading "untradable items" and I admit to have conduced illegal activities in the past. As of this date, I will not break another rule.
Aww, I see where you are going with this. I not only broke the trading of illegal items (medium offence), but also Rule 7 because of "island commerce" (high offence). I understand that grass blocks should be traded instead of dirt blocks for this reason. If I may, let us look at obsidian trading (which I've seen players do without penalization). A player creates a new island, receives a lava bucket, turns the lava into obsidian, mines up the obsidian using a diamond god pick, and then sells it to somebody with the intent of turning the obsidian back into lava. By this analogy, anybody who sells obsidian is breaking Rule 7 by profiting from lava. To be clear, I am not attempting to diminish your position. I am using this example to justify why I didn't think that trading such items were strictly enforced (from MY point of view). You have successfully forced me to do extensive research on the rules to validate my appeal. Look Demon, minecraft & skyblock are games most people play for fun and on their free time. Rules are ignored and broke in servers because people intend to have fun, and I am no exception. I honestly did not know that you guys took the rules extremely serious until I started browsing your forums and the "ban appeals archive". The fact that I just signed up today to appeal a ban proves that I was ignorant about the subject. I also did some research on the donations you guys receive and now I know why you guys take this game so serious. When money is involved, s*** gets real... I get that... "Why should I unban you?" I've stated/justified my position, made an apology, and vowed that I will not break the rules again. I have shown you that I know and understand the rules (although, I still don't understand why obsidian is legal to trade) and why (from my perspective) the rules are strictly enforced.
Thank you for your responce. It is clear that you have taken the time to look into the details, and it's appreciated that you put all that time into your last post. Your ban appeal has been accepted. Thread locked and moved to Ban Appeal Archives.
