This is one of the biggest on going issues of .net for the players. This problem is that there are 23 supermods, 22 Mods and 3 tmods around about and the max i see on is 4. 4 is horrible. If there are 43 mods in total there should be more on. The problem with this is yesterday at around 7-8pm UTC+10:00 there was a player that somehow spamed chat without getting kicked and this is why we need mods and me and lots of player would very much like for Noobcrew and CypriotMerks to look into the mods because it is not ok for this to happen if we have 43 mods. Also we need more Australian Mods or of the close time zone because there are mods on in the morning but there is only Krissy and Andrew on at night and sometimes some other mods but we lack in help and people start swearing and once the mods are off line the hole server is chaos. Thanks for reading and don't take this in a bad way I just think that there are mods just for the sake of being mods. I have seen this problem come up a lot. Yes, the server does not have enough staff to keep up with the community. But, you need to keep in mind that most of these staff members are from different timezones.
I have something to say. 1. Mods are not paid don't tell them what to do. 2. Different time zones. 3. Busy 4. Have a life outside of sky block 5. Over 1.3 million people have joined this server. I would think that's hard to keep up with. 6. You say 43 like that is big amount to handle 1.3 million people. 7. They get spammed. 8. That do all the work they can to help the server. When you say inactive mods I think it's funny because if a mod is inactive they get demoted unless it's like a super-admin or what have you. If the mods didn't do their jobs right, guess what? The server wouldn't run properly. But guess what again, it runs perfectly and smoothly. Just my opinion and if you have a problem with the server/moderators on the server, why do you continue to play? If this was to rude I'm sorry but put some more thought into what you say next time please that way they can understand we're you are coming from instead of people complaining.
I agree puddingguy but there are lots on in the morning for me so like afternoon for america but when its like 12:00midnight for america is like afternoon for us Austailan's.
About 50% of the mods are from America (this is just a guess, but probably somewhat true). You're probably now thinking, "Ok, but that still means there are like 20 inactive mods". You also need to keep in mind that not all of the other 50% are from Australia; a lot are from Europe. Cyp is trying to hire less American mods, so you may see this problem go away in the near future.
I'll try to put this in a nice way possible. I'm sorry we aren't there to help the server everytime. But you should know, moderators aren't tools. No matter how many mods you have promoted, you can't expect them to be online 24/7. Mods have lives other than minecraft, and we don't get paid, we do it because we love the community. You can go on any server and I can bet you you will see the same amount of mods you see here.. I myself am going through a hard time at university. Others work to pay their house rents. and it goes on.. We can't expect them to forget their lives to server skyblock 24/7 But if you don't want them as mod because they don't come on often, well fine but you should know the team we have is the most active and trusted. Promoting new people too fast can ruin the server. And so far I'm honestly glad we even have like 3 -4 mods on.. Like 5 months ago when barely anyone was promoted.. you were lucky to see a moderator online for even 1 hour for the whole day. Edit: Adding on, the admins also made the reports for a reason so mods can actually solve reports when they aren't online, so the best you can do is report.
Ok mate you need to understand THEY SIGNED UP FOR THIS they did so they know they would not get paid or what ever else AND some are VERY inactive thats why I asked for Noob and cyp to do something about it E.G. when was the last time you sore LukeOfLight the supermod on???? oh thats right the last time he was on was 20 days ago(INACTIVE) Also IM NOT saying that all the mods are bad lots of them are good im just saying get rid of the bad ones and get some fresh passionate ones in
I totally understand Troycar im just saying that some mods should be looked at and i know 70% of mods are great and i love you guys for it but there are 30%who are not. I love the good mods but i DONT LIKE the ones who do nothing on the server. I just want some of the old mods to be looked at and see how well they are really helping and the good ones STAY or else it will collapse like you said. I dont think people understand why i made this post i did NOT make it to attack the mods i made it TO HELP the community because some mods are bad and we need some new enthusiastic mods in. I love good mods and i take my hat off to you but to that #30% you better start helping or leave
This server needs to be handled with the utmost care and I love mods who help but not the ones who dont *****(I ALSO REPEAT this was not a thread to attack all mods just to give a wake up call to the others)***
All of the mods are active during their timezones, if it is the fact that their not replying to you that you're worried about, its because they are VERY busy when they are on, and I've heard of cases where mods can be talking to several people at once.
I don't mean that he simply watches all of the mods 24/7. I'm saying that he has demoted mods in the past that he, and other people in the community, have found inactive/unable to do their duties. He knows which ones deserve to stay and which ones to let go of. If you're going to post a thread like this, you're going to need to point out which mods in particular you think are too inactive, and hope Cyp sees this.
