Hi guys
I'm making a new moderator application because... well, the old one wasn't that good. I was really still a n00b when I wrote it, and was clueless- maybe not as much as some, but yeah, I was. In 2-ish [? Three? Idk] months, I have grown older and wiser, and thought it was time to revamp my application.
You may notice that this application is shorter than the other one. To put it bluntly, a whole bunch of it was convoluted nonsense, and I have done my best to keep it simple.
First things first:

You should know this by now, but my IGN is MooshroomDoom, more commonly known as Doom in chat. It doesn't have any particular significance, but it rhymes

Which timezone are you in?
I am in the PST or PDT [Pacific Standard Time or Pacific Daylight [savings] Time, respectively.] time zone, depending on the time of year. While nothing exotic, it allows me to access most US time zones, but not much else. I have found, though, that quite a few mods are on during my off-hours [How do I know this? I stay up way too late sometimes] so this should not be a problem.

Which languages do you speak?
Just English, unfortunately. Well, and 10~ words of Spanish, which are basically useless. However, Google Translate always helps, and I would the non-English speakers to the bilingual mods.

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?)
Nope. I take the rules very seriously, and have not, to my knowledge, infringed on any of them. The worst I have gotten was a kick, which I hardly think should reflect on a moderator application
I have been griefed a couple times, so I know how this feels.
Tying in with this and the below section, knowing how it feels helps me make just decisions on appeals. Griefing is serious, and a noob saying "plz, i'm sorry :ccc" isn't good enough. I have had several valuable things taken from me, and from the viewpoint of the victim, the griefer getting off scot-free doesn't make them feel very happy. I'm not going to go too in-depth, though, because that belongs in the section below.

Why do you think you should be a mod?
Okay, I said that this application wouldn't be as long as the previous one. Well, kind of. This is where the juicy bits are, and it is going to be split up into two sections- Traits and Explanation.
Traits explains the different qualities that would make me a good mod,
and Explanation is a paragraph or two about why I want to be a mod.

-Traits-

• First and foremost, I am helpful. This is basically a given for a successful mod- the one things mods are supposed to do? Help. Most of the time on Skyblock, I am running around trying to solve greenbean's problems, enchanting items, repairing stuff, and generally trying to help people out. There may be a reason some of you don't see me chat as often as I'd like- I am responding to /msgs. While yes, some of this is the mod's job, the mods are usually too busy helping out with bigger things, i try to help with the littler things that an ordinary donor can handle. Changing spawners, enchanting, donating blocks, expanding islands- you name it, I've done it.
  
• I am also knowledgeable. While everyone learns new things every day, I have been here long enough to be able to give advice and tips to those who need it. I can give advice on illegal items, the rules, commands, donor perks, whether mobs spawn, how you message- there are a bunch of silly questions that can be answered and usually aren't and I take it on to answer them myself. Seriously, you don't know how many times I've seen "is griefing allowed? thx". Seriously >.<
• I consider myself patient. This is a great skill when answering the same basic questions from noobs- "Can I trade buckets?" "No." "Can I trade lava buckets?" "No!" "Can I trade water buckets?" "NOOOO!!" It gets infuriating at times, seriously. Sheer annoyance aside, this helps with both dealing with the situation above, as well as difficult people in various places, ban appeals especially.
• One good quality of a mod, I believe, is being strict/serious. There is probably going to be an annoyed group of people who will hate this statement, but seriously- a mod is no fun and games, and joking around too much will get you fired. This is not to say that I hate having fun- quite the contrary. But having fun, chatting, and joking around has it's own place, and sometimes, moderating is not it. On the strict side, being a big softie, while winning support, won't help you on the mod side. "Oh, but I didn't mean it! I'm sorry :CCC" as an excuse for getting unbanned is bad, and actually unbanning for it is worse. I'm not going to be a drill sergeant, but I'm not going to be a teddy bear. [A... teddy bear drill sergeant? Idk >.<]
• Lastly, a sense of humor. This, while maybe not as good as a reason for getting mod, has you keep it- I'd much rather have a mod that jokes around occasionally then a stoic mod who just shouts at people all the time, and I assume you guys do too. As I have one, I think we are good

-Explanation-
So, why be a mod? Well, aside from the commands and such [which are cool, but not the point], I really just want to help people. I try, of course, but only with the little things- with bridging, scamming, griefing, and things like that, my hands are tied. I try to actively be a part of this community, being on as much as possible, and why not make something of that? Being a mod would help me improve as a person, boosting charisma [stealing from the Sims ;-;], friendliness, and typing skills, as well as professionalism [mod is lots like getting a job].
How long can you be active on the server every day?
Um... As a basic estimate, maybe 1-4 hours on school days [Mon-Fri], more on weekends? Not going to make a schedule [Can't wait until summer!]
Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
Well, no. This is the hardest question to answer, mostly because it is true. I have no moderator experience anywhere. Not a personal server, nothing.
If you have read the above sections, though, does it really matter? I Have tried to prove myself to you, and it isn't up to me. I feel i can work very well as a moderator, and if i get it, I'll have something to add here >.<
