I agree. But someone needs to figure out a solution to the hopper problem :/. You know, that one block that is critical to a lot of machines lol.

 

But at the same time that argument could be made for repeaters, which are currently easy to obtain and more often used for clocks. I don't see it making that much a difference based on that point (the ease of access to comparators, that is).

Exactly, my point is that any lag that may be created is already existent, and doesn't seem to be too much a problem as it stands. So arguing that having more access to comparators will cause lag is rather silly.

 

I think this is an excellent idea. I think the fact that daylight sensors and comparators are worth diamonds is absurd. We really need raw quartz at least somewhere to trade, and it would be an ideal thing to add to the "coming soon" villagers at /warp donor. The blocks would be a good thing as well, but you can make the blocks out of raw quartz. You can't make raw quartz out of blocks. Support.

Okey, I understand your point, however I beleive that with hoppers being out of action a large amount of farms are out of use, these farms take up the biggest proportion of red stone contraptions people would be building on the server. Also, any other red stone builds would only be operational when someone is near the chunk that it is in. Meaning it would only work if the player on the island is logged in.

With these two points I really doubt just adding the capability to craft comparators will do anything major.

As people have already said, quartz should be added, it is a fantastic building block, beautiful and you cant really go wrong with it
I also think that 1 dia for 1 plain quartz block is 1 dia, its absurd
I think Cyp/crew should add it back to the server

Yes, of course .net has an economy. It is just a barter economy, not one you trade with money. In fact, on .net, the currency has pretty much become grass/iron/diamonds for anything there is to buy. It is a known fact that one cannot buy a diamond with one grass because the player would be losing out on a possible trade. This element of barter constitutes an economy, where everything has a value, whether it be in cold hard cash or equated to an amount of another type of item.

I think I was just trying to put a different perspective on the situation, where economy isn't the primary factor that someone bases an opinion on. For example, adding quartz to buy because it looks nice, dispite it's economical value.

Support, I need to use quartz to build the top of my island, but at todays prices I can't afford it.

 

Quartz is nice to build and is used for redstone, but it is very expensive. And I think that the things like comparators and daylight sensors should be sold at the normal /warp trade for very cheap, say, 1 grass for 2 comparators, or 1 grass for 1 daylight sensor. Total support!

 

I do support, since more epic looking stones are coming that need the quartz, and the Comparator has a lot of uses, and is getting more.

 

This was a thing in the 2nd sky base donor room until one day villagers went away from that room anyway support I've been trying to get this done for a while
