I have effectively run out of things to do in Skyblock, and as much I as I would love to continue my adventure.. I've hit the obsidian wall on this one.

Steel or Flint is nearly non existent in the server, therefore fire is hard to come by- and there is only one conceivable place where gold can be found.

Call me many things if you will; a noob, newbie, Nubian, dork, even go as far as to say I am ignorant of MC, but you would be incorrect entirely. However, through the mire that is the general Skyblock Survival, I've always had one thing to look forward to; the Nether. (as the end is unattainable without obvious hax)
Being the only possibility of unobtainable blocks in a game that make you work for what you wanted, the only reason I really enjoyed Skyblock was for the prospect of a nether base. In this server, that prospect is dead.

I simply propose the concept of enabling the Nether, nothing more. Destroy the "Nether grass shop" and bring back something that made Skyblock so special to all of us.

I don't think they will ever enable firespread because it can be used to grief.
If you want nether skyblock, join hellblock.net, it's like skyblock in the nether, harder, but it's fun

 

Then don't invite people to your island, easy solution. Even better; don't place wood near lava, don't let lava sit for too long NEAR wood,... or just don't let people on your island

 

Easier said than done. In all the years Net has been open, Fire Spread was not enabled.

 

Maybe I've been playing old Skyblock systems for too long then, but it was better that way ;_;

 

Sometimes others can bridge, fly, or teleport to other islands so that is still not a simple solution to solve
