How about a Skyblock Fire Company?

Warps are constantly being set on fire. (Like /warp slg right now) It's really out-of-hand. Most mods don't have /extinguish. This is a huge safely concern.

Perhaps select players could be part of the Skyblock Fire Company and have this command. They would have to submit a Fire Company application. Their only function would be to extinguish fires. They would have no other commands.

So when there's a fire, I can either message them in-game or search for "Firefighter " in the forum member list. That way Skyblock becomes safer.

    Thoughts?

With a laggy computer in the morning... I can only take care of the fires on the weekends... but I'll try. ;)

SuperMods have //ext so that they can out out fires at public warps. I think you can get them on enough to have a fire extinguished. If you cannot get one on, just report it here on the forums :)

I do report it and it takes anywhere from a few moments to several days to be extinguished. That's scary. We need a dedicated team to take care of it.

    /warp slg
    /warp castle
    /warp cake
    /warp skybase
    /warp donor
    /warp halloween2012

Are all on fire right now.

    We need a hero.

Ehhh this seems like a pretty pointless thread.
What are the "fire brigade" gonna do when there are no fires?
This isn't a big enough issue to have a select few people given the ability to put out a measly fire.

    It's a nice thought but no :/

Why cant /extinguish be a donor command? As long as there are logs of who put out the fires it should be fine :D

That would entail re-writing the logblock commands

Its a super mod command for a reason. Fires are safety hazards but if you see a fire, warn chat and report it. the //ext command could be abused so therefore is given to those that should be the most trusted. It will not be given to anyone apart from supermods. This was suggested before and it flopped. Sorry for being blunt but its one of those things that will not happen no matter how much we want it (unless they give it to full mods).

The fires aren't "measly". Last night, the fire at /warp slg was huge and surrounding the spawnpoint. (Not sure if it is extinguished yet) This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.

How exactly can this command be abused? I want to understand.

Creating this thread will just make the people who are putting warps on fire to do it again.

It's a super mod command and //ext can crash the server if used incorrectly and people can do mistakes.
