    Hiya :3.
I've had this in my mind ever since I had this item.
How rare exactly is a nether star? And how much do they go for?
I've asked lots of donors, but most of them have idea.
    Btw this is on .net
    Thanks and Much Love

The only one I've seen that probably wasn't even sold was asking for upwards of 200 diamonds. I don't think they're as rare as a Dragon Egg of End Portal Frame, so probably a ballpark of between 200-300 diamonds would be fair.

Buying a nether star for 100 diamonds is already quite overpriced. Probably 75-100 diamonds is what you could get for a nether star.

It's probably as rare as a fireblock, if not rarer.

It is not rarer than a fireblock. When I had 3, I sold them for 90 diamonds each.

I would say around 100 diamonds each roughly?

It is rare to see people selling them, because most of the people who have them quit a while ago. The few people that have them, that are active, don't really sell them.

AKA they are more rare than fireblocks, rarity is a function of both how many there are in existence, how many people are willing to sell, and how many people have them :)

There might be less being sold/bought, but I can guarantee you that someone would pay more for a fireblock, than a nether star.

But there's no way to know, because none have been sold recently to my knowledge.

Look, a nether star is way rarer than a fireblock. There's probably like 50 fireblocks on net.
    And like 5 nether stars?
I would value a nether star to be at least 400 diamonds.
It's most definitely in the big leages in value such as heads, portal frames etc
Don't sell for less than 300 YAF :p

Matt bought a nether star for 100 diamonds, several if not many were saying that he overpaid. A nether star has no special effect unlike a fireblock for /hat. The market for nether stars in terms of supply is low, and demand even lower. Most players and collectors are uninterested in obtaining nether stars. True, it may be rarer, but getting a fire block would be way more classy and impressive than a nether star. That is why the price of nether stars is not at 400 diamonds.
