Hi there, Quite recently, I had been planning to make this Guide on how to make a perfect report. Many people like helping the Moderators out by making reports whilst no Moderator is on. I just wanted to help guide these fine specimen into creating an outstanding report that will help the Moderators tremendously. So, shall we head into the vast world of reports? THE FORMAT: In my opinion, if it is not directly related to your island, use these questions to be answered: What is your in game name? Who is the offender? What was the crime committed? (Give the full story as well.) Please provide screenshots or any means of evidence that you have. If you had been scammed, use all the questions above also adding your coordinates to your island so we may refund you. (How to find and use coordinates are in the section named: coordinates.) If you have been griefed, looted, bridged to, basically anything to deal with your island, you need to use the grief template which is located here: Grief Template - READ FIRST | Skyblock Forums If you use this, the Moderators will definitely be able to help without you answering many questions. It will even get whatever was done to your island quickly replaced. THREAD NAME: For the name of your thread, use something on the lines of [Your IGN] What was done: Griefed, Looted, Scammed, Bridged, etc [Offender Name]. This lets the Moderators know ahead of time what they are dealing with and the format of the thread name seems respectable and decent to the eyes. COORDINATES: You don't know how to read and find coordinates? Press F3 if you are using Windows 7 or 8. For users using a Mac, press down Fn, next to the ctrl button, and then press down F3 at the same time. After it shows your coordinates, use the x,y, & z coordinates. If the number is 555444.0000, you do not have to put the .0000. Also, if you want you can put /tppos in front of the coordinates. Ex. Let's say x: 55996 y:222 z:98566 Put down /tppos 55996 222 98566 If you feel that is too complicated, just put the coordinates down as x, y, & z. Also, when putting your coordinates in do [ Hide ] Message [/ Hide ] Do not put any spaces. P.S.- Remember to be on your island when pressing the buttons to show the coordinates. Preferable bedrock but it doesn't really matter. HOW TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS: Scammed: If you were scammed, please provide evidence of everything in the trade. Make sure to provide them agreeing to the amount they were going to pay and the amount you were going to pay. Provide a picture of them taking your items and then teleporting away from you. If there is more evidence of them bragging about scamming you, provide that as well. (PLEASE USE A CHEST WHEN TRADING!) Also, if you trade at skybase, please provide which room it was by using coordinates. Also, Goku has provided us with a Guide on how to trade correctly: Trading Tips/How to avoid being scammed | Skyblock Forums If you feel that Goku's is not good enough, look at Krissy's: Scams | Skyblock Forums Bridged: If you were bridged, you do not have to take screenshots of it. All you need to provide is the coordinates, unless you were Griefed. Griefed: If you were Griefed, please take pictures of all the places you were griefed at. This provides the Moderators to know how far the rollback must go. Looted: Take a picture of the looted chest and if you can please put the coordinates of where the chest was above the picture. Answering: When you answer the format questions and the Moderators' questions, be polite and patient. Moderators are very busy with many reports, ban appeals, and etc everyday. We deal with so many different cases that we may not get back to you until later. Also, if you're not that great of a speller in grammar, please do not fret, we will try our best to translate what you're saying to the best of our abilities. Advertisers: When there is an advertiser on the server and you see it. First do /list. If there is a Moderator on, tell them first. If there is no moderator on, screenshot it and make a report. Inappropriate Language/Spam: If there are no Moderators on when you do /list and someone is spamming or cursing, screenshot the act of them cursing/spamming and then a screenshot of you asking nicely to please stop. If they decide to continue take a few more screenshots, then report. I know it is a G rated server but if we kicked every person who says "crap", "dang", "pissed", etc then there would be many kicks and we couldn't keep up. Do not report someone if they say words like this. If they bypass "pwnfilter", then report or if it is blanked out with an * then report. CLEAR LAG: Clear Lag is a big issue with players. A lot of players report this without having any evidence of it happening. If you are picking up your items, first check to make sure that clear lag is not coming within the time span that you are going to pick it up. If you don't see that, remember to always screenshot you picking up your items just in case clear lag does take one of your items. You need to make sure you have proof of you picking it up and it disappearing before anything can be done. Coordinates: Where you are in the world and how players and Moderators find you. Griefed: When a player is Breaking/Placing blocks on your island without permission. Looted: When a player takes items out of your chests without permission. Scammed: When you are trading with someone and they take your items and leave without giving their side of the trade. Bridging: When a player builds blocks out to anothers' island and/or griefs/loots them. Advertising: When a player puts another minecraft servers' ip in public chat. Also, if you do not ask for an ip in /msg and a person /msg's you an ip, that is considered advertising. Screenshots: When you take a picture of the minecraft screen and it will upload in your .minecraft folder. To get there go to your computer->type in %appdata% at the top->.minecraft->screenshots. Rollback: When a Super Mod comes onto your island and uses a command to take away whatever the griefer or looter had done to your island. Clear Lag: Removes items that are just laying on the ground. Might seem dumb, but you should specify that players need to be on their island before pressing F3 Wouldn't want a bunch of spawn coordinates You may also wish to include how to provide these in hidden format - to keep them secret
