They should be enabled. There is already a way to loot locked chests. This won't affect that, really.

 

I don't want to spam people with "disagrees", but the simple fact is that the latest version of lockette fixes this problem. What people are complaining about is "hopper minecarts" which have infinitely less uses. So reenable hoppers and disable hopper minecarts and all's good. Or put a couple of locked furnaces under your rares chest.

 

Can't there surely be a plugin or restriction to placing hoppers on chests or just on other players islands anyway there are so many other ways to get loot from chests why ban this one inperticular and I'm sure a lava filled island is just as worst or a TNT'ed island so why not ban all grieving material

 

Idea:

Allow 50 / 100+ donators to place hoppers.
Make them ILLEGAL to trade.
Install the new version of lockette if not installed yet.

I don't see why hoppers are disabled.

 

Good luck with this, I've already made two threads about this in the past, one of which Cyp conceded and agreed to re-enable them. Unfortunately, both threads are no longer in existence due to various crashes, hacks, etc. Odds are, regardless of the burden of proof, folks just aren't gonna believe that this isn't a fixable issue, and all the loopholes can be addressed while stilll allowing hoppers to be used. I fully support this, but it ain't gonna happen.

 

Placed hoppers are also a signal that someone is quite old and well-experienced player, for me, it acts as a trophy

 

I still have a few placed on my island. I always feel like someone's going to steal them for some reason.

 

I don't support this a single bit. Moopuff and I have been hopper looted on HB, I don't know if she has been refunded yet, but I don't want other players on .net to be robbed of their valuables.

 

Enderchests :3, or just keep your 'rare' chest somewhere secret.
