so been a while since my last update not a lot has happened on the island the last few days but i did expand the volcano larger around on the backside and upward to the build limit. got some new flowers and lined my sidewalk with them. i also started work on a secret hidden treasure room to 'display' all my valuables. so far its limited to these blocks of materials.
so the other day mookiecookie was offering to build hot air balloons online for 10 grass. but as i have been placing all my grass as ground i couldnt afford to pay her to build one but i loved the idea. so i asked to take a look and build my own based off her designs with a slight modification of actually having the fire below the balloon taking advantage of the fact that fire dosnt spread. so without further ado here is my new hot air balloon.
grass laying complete, with more of the sand i get each day in my kit the smaller first layer is coming along nicely. it was a lot of grass blocks to get. in the last day of planting lawn i bought 20 stacks of grass alone, selling all the diamonds i had, save 2. and it was half covered before that. as you can see from the grass most of my island is in a dessert biome, but that small lush area happens to be an extreme hills biome. so i can keep a snow golem and an ice farm.
very interested in hearing some ideas feel free to share them on here its easier to see than in game chat
I like your island very much I hope mine can look as or almost as good upon completion if you need help /msg me
very soon, at the moment i had built all my farms/ generators/ mob grinders into the island and mountain so theres not much room for a cave yet. however very soon im going to start moving them below the island now that i can fly. then once everything is out of the island itsself i plan on adding a maze to the vault room and perhaps a cave/ ravine as well while enlarging the volcano.
