Continuing with the thread regarding the basic reduction of the /spawnmob command to a useless command. Most Donor 100’s play the server for a while and have access to all the passives before becoming a Donor 100 and the attractiveness of Donor 100 now only extending to /god and /Nick the justification for the extra $50 donation has gone. Yes $16 will head to spawners.
In Minecraft the ability to access creative commands that allow a wider access to block builds is the sole reason for attaining higher status on nearly all Bukkit servers. I believe the loss of the ability to do complex builds well see many players not take up higher Donor ranks and well lead to a decline in higher level donations. I can’t think of anything more boring than sitting around watching a Mob Spawner constantly repairing my sword.
Yes Spawnmob created hassle for Admins and Mods. It was abused. The solution is to allow higher level donors to access either a special trade area or partial creative to allow them to get the blocks for the complex builds that justify higher levels of server donation. This must be done in a way that does not impact on lower level donors.

 

One more point - If you create a trader that exchanges for Ink only in large quantities for the complex blocks you would achieve the desired benefit for Donor 100's. This could be setup in the Donor room. I have always felt sorry for the poor squids.
