No. I don't know if everyone realizes this, but it is hard to majorly change a server this large. Especially without a developer. What if he became unbanned and his island was changed?

 

It would be at the island owner's risk. If an Admin/SMod thought that the said player had a minimal chance of unban, and the player was willing to risk that 50x50 area, then they would get the go-ahead.

 

So just to make sure I read this right.
Just get an Admins or Smods permission and you can build out? (If the player is banned)

 

You would be correct. You would need a log of an SMod+ placing a certain block (TBD?) to have perms to expand. Otherwise, it is a bridging felon :3

 

I just try to get the players that own the island next to me to be online and if they are i try to buy the island ownership from them

It's breaking the rules either way, active island or not it's still somebody's island therefore you could be banned for bridging.

I don't think the admins should allow this, it's rather silly if I'm honest, it's practically just allowing a select few to break the rules.

 

Over time mods have came and checked islands and if they're inactive they have let people go further (including myself) the person next to me has been inactive since I joined the server and I have never had any sign of them. The other way I have an island that I can't even find, its more than 200 blocks away which is just a waste of space ._.
If you wanted to shorten everyones island who was over the limit it would be thousands of blocks/island ._.

Good point, but then Cyp and Crew will be burdened with requests to check if it's okay. Because face it everyone will want more space.

 

If they want space, expand up or down or go as far as you want to the sides until you see a island. Then you've probably gone too far

 

Expansion of Islands shouldn't be necesarry. 49x49 is a large enough space. You can build upwards.

Really, just stick with what you've got right now. It's actually 49x49 in each direction from the bedrock, so it's almost 10000 square blocks, not to mention up and down. It would take recoding the plug-in to fix something like this and even then I'm not sure how it would even work.
