Artificiality

 

You were banned for forging your evidence. When you were banned for scamming Matteh, you sent me evidence in the shape of a JPEG image, depicting your latest transactions. In good faith, I trusted that you had not tampered with the image you sent me. Clearly I was wrong. Allow me to demonstrate why.

We're only focusing on the dates here.

Paypal writes out every month using only the three first letters. The only month that's written out fully is May, because it only consists of three letters. Thus, the date in the Paypal photo should say "9 Mar 2014". Secondly, blowing up the image to full size, you'll see a mismatch in the increment between letters in March and Feb. This is one of the reasons Paypal uses only three letters, as it allows for equal spacing between letters in all the logs. It's good for design.

Finally, and that's what the red lines are for, if I take a red line from the bottom border of the "+" box on the two bottom transactions, and draw it completely horizontal, you'll see there's plenty of space underneath the text for it to be read clearly. So much space, in fact, that not even the "y" in "Payment To" is cut off. However, looking at the top transaction, both your "Matthew K" and the date are cut off at least 15-18% in the bottom, leaving absolutely no space between them and the red line. The 9 in "March" even loses it's bottom curve.

Thus, you've edited the photo to make it look like evidence. This is considered fraud, and is - in most states and countries - a federal offence. If legal action were to be taken against you, you could serve prison time.

This was a stupid idea.

 

Ok, all I've got to say is. I don't think there's any point of me continuing on this server. I'm never going to be able to be trusted by the people of this server again. And if I was to be unbanned I would be hated by the players for ever. If I would get the chance to get unbanned, I would never try a stunt like this again. I'm just wondering if before I leave I could give my items to my friend. If not, goodbye :|

 

Okay, let's address this first things first - you obviously understand the severity of this issue. The diamonds you stole from Matteh, where are they now? They're obviously going to be confiscated, following your recent actions.

 

I honestly dont know where they are though. They got taken off me I think by a mod.

 

Okay. Well, all things considered, and after having conferred with some of the other staff of the server, there's not much we can do from here. Legal action won't be taken against you from our side, but with a breach of the rules and the mutual trust that's supposed to be a part of playing and interacting on Skyblock, we're not willing to risk letting you back in. Sorry, but that was one step too far out of line.

Good luck with whatever you do next. I hope, if nothing else, that this serves you as a lesson in honesty.
