Because in reality I wasn't trying to trade buckets, I was trading the whole contents of my island to my friend so I could create a new one, because my current one keeps having people fly past and try to grief.

Bucket trades are illegal no matter if you're trading, giving, gifting, etc. Did you give your friend any other illegal items that we should be concerned about? Keep in mind, if you lie, we will find out and you wont get another appeal.

 

I haven't been on in a while, so this came as a surprise, but if I remember correctly, apart from buckets I also gave him some sand and some filled buckets (water/lava etc), because I thought it wouldn't really count as illegal if I was just switching islands. sorry

 

So aside from the buckets, you also gave your friend sand. I'm going to say this now, you're on a very thin line here, as you're now admitting to island farming, since the sand was from your past island and you were planning to make a new island...

 

Well I can easily just ask him to get rid of the sand, I didn't think it mattered that much cuz I wasn't really giving it to anyone. And the majority of the sand was from some donor guy a while ago, he flew by my island, chucked sand and cobble, and left. like, a LONG time ago. If I get unbanned, I promise I'll chuck all the sand/filledbuckets/buckets away, to make up for giving it to my friend?

You're aware if you make a new island, it'll be closer to all of the newer islands which would only make that problem worse anyway.
We're going to need the name of your friend and a list of the items you gave them so we can retrieve them and return them.

He probably meant he WOULD give everything back to me, like when I get unbanned (obviously excluding the illegal stuff), cuz I haven't been on yet. but the illegal stuff was, ROUGHLY:

about* 16 x lava bucket
about 16 x water bucket
about 2 1/2 x stack of bucket (16)
about 10 x sand
roughly 38 x dirt

That's all I remember,

*I don;t have exact numbers, obviously.

EDIT: ask ningnangball which ones he put the stuff in, because I don't want you to like comb over his island and take his stuff as well as mine.
