I placed a diamond block and I tested to see if it privated. It did private and I broke it and I got it back. When I placed 2 on top of each other and privated it and broke it, I did not get the blocks back, but I did get the signs back. It is kind of hard to explain. Please help!

Do you have proof of having the diamond block?

 

Are you sure it wasn't a ghost block, like invisible for you but not others? Try relogging.

 

I have tried relogging. The diamond block is on the logs and it shows be breaking it.

Is it possible that you had 2 different picaxes in your inventory? Diamond blocks can only be broken by iron+ picks. Possible you broke it with a stone or wooden pick? It would break it but not drop anything.
