True, my island lags a fair bit due to the redstone. Could you use a command block to tp wall huggers back to the middle every 30 seconds?

 

I have a no plugin method using /scoreboard for a points system, and then a shop at the end that uses the points. It works, and is cleared as soon as you leave the arena.

 

If this is relatively easy to implement, I think this is the best solution.

Nah, on a server like this, the command block would be excessive. The region is so abnormal it would take a few command blocks to get the entire wall, which would lag the server even more than krissy has said it lags him. Also, I don't even think we're allowed to put command blocks into anything here ;o

The Mob Arena plug-in is a fairly well-known plug-in, so I don't see it being changed for this specific situation :/

 

To eliminate those who would fly to the top of the MA and wait, I would suggest having a sort of wall on top of the MA speculation stands, but it shouldn't just be a literal layer, It should be a wall of Glass, with the inside being something like food carts, pools, etc, That way, Hackers can't fly to the top of MA, and players can mess around in the speculation stand while waiting

 

Why not just the system:

• More Mob Kills More Rewards
• No Kills No Rewards

 

^^THIS. This will actually be a usable guideline, since AFKers don't get any worthwhile rewards while the ones doing the work killing mobs get the good stuff. Should be based more on how active the player is on moving around and either actively killing mobs or serving as support (chemists/medics) since they, as support classes, need to be given good stuff too.

Also, keep in mind that players do occasionally lean up against the wall not to stay there forever but as an anti-mob ambush strategy (and that it's easier to guard against mobs when you don't need to worry about creepers surprise spawning right behind you)

On a side note: PLEASE Do fix the grass output of mob arena.. the current overly nerfed/reduced rate (1 grass out of 100 waves!? no grass on first 20-30 waves even as i went actively killing creepers and the like!?) is breaking the skyblock economy badly enough that it is affecting bottomline prices, standard item exchange/trading prices.. that and the lack of grassblock means less LEGAL SOURCES of ISLAND DIRT, which is the primary use of grassblock, no matter what other ways you all commonly use it for.

If the current lack of grass continues, we might soon see mobspawners or 3 diamonds going for a stack of grass in 2-3 months..

<offtopic> the whole economy 101 thing is the result of my time playing EVE Online, where economy, margin/market trading and the like is a viable income source ingame, enough to purchase monthly subscriptions for the game itself </offtopic>

 

How to disable /god or /fly

When spawn in the lobby put a pressure plate and under it do /god @p off or replace the god with fly

 

on .net fly is disabled when you enter the arena. But this would be a great way to disable /god automatically
