Hey, I have had an idea so that islands don't get lost too much, this is called "Coop will" If a coop owner leaves the island, it gets passed to the next available member, with no control from the original owner. With the coop will, the original island owner can control who gets the island after they leave. I keep seeing people in the chat saying "How do i change my island owner", well this would be how. This idea gives the island owner a say in who gets the island after they leave, for example: To appoint a coop co-owner, you would say something like /co owner [playername] this would make sure that the player you want will get the coop, not just a random member from the coop. The original owner is the only one who can appoint co-owners. They can change the co-owner. I hope this idea is taken into consideration. -jetpack32
It seems like a good plan, except if you leave why would you need to chose who runs the coop? and the second person who joined get the coop, so its not random as far as i know. Usually you are your friends decide to leave and in that case the coop gets passed down and so on.
I like this idea as I'm considering starting a new island and I wan't to leave my old island to my friends :3
I just think that in most cases, unless the second in line in the coop is inactive, then everything should be fine. But yeah maybe will would be a benefit
I agree to this and support this. I have been on many islands where I have built a very nice island and the owner left. Thus I was kicked off and the island was removed. I hope this gets passed.
This type of thing has been added since mid december, there is no command to give the island to someone else but if for instance the owner of the island/coop were to leave, ownership would be given to someone else in the coop.
