I Agree. It's downright rude and doesn't solve the problem. The aim of this thread is: 1) Highlight the lack of moderation at times on .NET 2) Call for promotion of active mods to ensure that at least 1 SMod is on most of the time, and at least 2-3 Mods/TMods are on most of the time. 3) Not to call for inactive mods to be demoted unless necessary (Eg. an enforced quota of Mods)
Is that at me? -- Calling people out isn't rude, maybe they'll see this thread and get active. If they were active in the first place threads like this wouldn't be made. Alas, he may be an admin, but pleasing the players is the #1 concern.
Precisely. Bad excuse, but I know you're slightly active, not as much as you used to be; but still active.
Well it is actually an excuse because if that person is American and is on between 17:00 and 20:00 for example I'm already sleeping so it isn't a miracle.
You're making the assumption he sleeps when you're awake and vice versa, sleeping patterns are a real thing and they can be disrupted. he could be awake at night sleep through the day.
No it was not aimed at you, it was aimed at the individuals who were creating a list of staff members who should be demoted.
That's not the aim of this thread, is it? So long as Cypriot/Noobcrew aren't holding back promotions for other Mods for some "quota". If not, then having a mod log in once a month for 3hrs is 3hrs more that the server sees a mod compared to otherwise.
Isuika, I meant to say that those are the most inactive moderators, I did consider time zones, but really, that's a TON of inactive mods.
While the lists are frustrating, it may give people the initiate to actually be active. There's a low chance that I will see most of the mods, due to the fact I live in a dodgy timezone; however I know most of the moderators are inactive. If mods believe they're active they can ignore this and be on their way; but I do hope moderators see this and improve how active they are or step down.
There are some staff that really need promotions. Not just because of the extra helpful and useful permissions, but also because they deserve it.
Ok so i took the liberty of doing some screenshots. no, its not 3 months, but its no excuse. Plus, there are some who have been inactive for close to a month. Its not rude to suggest that inactive mods should be demoted, its common sense. no one wants a server full of griefers, scammers , spammers, and a whole bunch of people in need.
Some mods dont actually stay in game long enough to help people, so their time since offline isnt nessasary true.
I think you should have a command for mods that make sure they are online and off at certain time ; like a job
Agreed. Noobkilla101 still looks at his forums account from timr to time but NEVER comes on skyblock for like 1 month , he said himselfnthat he doesnt like playing skyblock.
If you need a moderator and there isn't a mod online (like when this comment was posted) you can always create a report with ease - just follow the template and add screenshots if need be. Also, tkjpie, you cannot really determine a mods activity by the amount of times you have 'seen' them.
