The lack of moderation on .net is appalling.

    I can see it viable, Cyp can put a gun to their heads and make them be active, works for me.

    I've been on every other hour or so for 24hrs at a time during the last few weeks due to holidays, and I must say, that the only ever mods that seem to be online are:

    DirtyNinja

    Kera
    Taylor
    Livvy

    Snoopy
    Goku
    Mario

    A few other mods have been once or twice are Maxi and Apple, ImDaWinner.

    This is over a period of 2 weeks of logging in for hours at a stretch, over close to a 24hr period.

    PS. If Cyp is reading this, Kera is *so* overdue for a promotion

    Totally agree, the mods that actually do their job are the ones that mostly aren't smod just mod or tmod

    meow ^-^ the generation of mods is always changing :) :p S-mods need to take care of more than one server :p they're global mod so if they spend too much time on server, means they'll be neglecting another.

    true :D Is there a contract for staff so they know what happens if they cant do their job? or at least avoid having them ask for their jobs back when they get demoted for inactivity? if not thats could very well be a solution :D

    No because moderators are 'volunteer' they cannot complain if they get demoted with no reason, well they can but you get the point.
    It's up to Noobcrew and Cypriot to maintain an active staff team, I can honestly say if I was in Cypriots spot half the team would be demoted and I'd be searching for new staff; but I'm not so really it's up to Cyp if he wants to enforce it.

    It's not always easy to search for new staff, so many Mods were removed/demoted due to abuse of power. Having access to a stack of spawners is hard to resist.

    Well i think cyp kinda agreed with us before...and yes, while rare items are tempting to take, and mod is a powerful role, crew has to put his trust in someone at some point, especially when things are as bad as they are now. Everyone makes mistakes, crew chooses the wrong person, fine. the damage is quite easy fixed. But there are a lot of good mods out there. I think another suggestion is a topic for mods who dont assist, be inactive, abuse power etc if crew decided to hire brand new active staff that he doesnt entirely trust yet. Im sure something will be done, things tend to get don around here

    I just want to point out one thing.

    If you are applying, first off good luck :), but secondly if you know you cant be active then say it. In both my applications I informed cyp/crew that I cannot moderate mon-fri until the summer. Coincidence or not I got promoted in the summer.

    Time, you did the right thing. But some mods just flat out lied, or i believe they did without informing crew or cyp. not 100% sure but they would have to get demoted unless they abused power. :eek:
    its not about my mod app, but thankyou, but i dont want to have anything happen to my island, or my friends island, or any island for that matter. I dont want to see chat spammed with help messaged from those who were scammed. You mods do a very important job as keeping the server free from trouble makers and without enough of you things fall apart :(

    Im on a lot, and i should see a lot of differnet time zone mods. I have seen all the mentioned ones, includeing Cubex, who was very active in the holidays, but probably has no more holidays and is a little busy, but does come on maybe once a week at least
