Im late to this discussion s im going to say a little bit: I was new to the server in november last year. and i had no clue what i was doing the first couple of islands i made sucked, and the works. I never got any help, i just got made fun of several times for making a few too high bids on picks... not knowing their true worth until later on. I never once begged for items for free, i just wished someone was nice enough to give me a diamond to be nice. But it never happened. I then became a donor just weeks into joining and met some nice friends. mostly non donor friends. But then my most defining moment was my $25 donor which for some unknown reason got me more friends, and helpful ones. they didnt give me diamonds, but they was nice and gave me gifts. Til this day i have only ever been given 1 diamond. i earned my diamonds by trading. Everything i have it due to the fact i worked honestly. A lot of people have been very kind, gave me free items to help me, and i am always greatful. Cissa, you are a good friend and I hate reading you got scammed, griefed or anything. its just sad
Yup...got griefed a few days ago and accidentally illegal traded because of it -.- May as well explain story so mods don't come and ban me xD (Mods, read this before you ban-it has already been taken care of) So I have a small shop and was letting people come to it and one guy decided to grief me. He just ran around placing different colored wool blocks so I though it was no big deal-no damage was done, why report? So he left eventually and I had to clean up and was breaking blocks. I had fully cleaned up and I realized one block hadn't broken at the same speed with the shear and then realized it wasn't brown wool! IT WAS DIRT! D: Complete panic moment for me. macklemore257 was on watching me panic and panic (he thought it was funny). I ended up staying up later waiting for a mod to come on and luckily Dirty Ninja came on pretty soon after. I had him tp to me and told him what happened and he was cool with it. I asked him to take the dirt block away anyways and he did. So yup, that was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me xD
LOL i would have kept the dirt... i mean not likes it was your fault hehe. Because i would see it as a grief rather than trade, but im a little bit rebel
When I started skyblock, it was just, you know, all ME. I had myself (and my friend who was using my account) and, well, we started an island! Soo... you know we had our cobble base, and some chests. That was about all. Then I got REALLY addicted and got ALOT of grass from Mob Arena. Along the way, this guy needed Obsidian for some reason, and he gave me a DIAMOND for a stack! I was REALLY filled with joy at THAT moment. Then, I went to a casino, and it was if you win, you get DOUBLE what you paid, so I put in a diamond, and then I WON!!!! Then the guy just left. Well, THAT PISSED ME OFF, because that was the 1st diamond I had ever got. Then I asked a mod (I think it was @DoctorSeuss) He TPed to me, and gave me my diamond back! Then, @Jaune_Arc gave me a spawner I WAS SOOOOOOO HAPPY! I thanked her SOOOO much, and I went joyusly killing my sheep from my spawner. Then, I won a Skin contest after that! I got 1 diamond and 32 grass. I did some waves of Mob arena, and got 3 more grass. Then this guy said that if I gave him 35 grass, I could have a DIAMOND! So I accepted the offer, little did I know I was getting scammed, and he took my grass, and LEFT. I acually made a Forums Post for THAT one, cause I couldnt take it anymore. The player's name was bigmonkey1016, and I got my items back, and someone acually made a LEGIT trade with me! 35 grass = DIAMOND! So I got my diamond, and then later on I got ANOTHER spawner! I traded 2 diamonds for it. Lastly, I was scammed 64 grass for this awesomeyoshi guy, and then SwimHornet gave me my 64 grass back. Then I traded the Grass for a Diamond, then for a Spawner. Thank you all for helping me! Swimhornet, Doctor_seuss, and Jaune. You all helped me evolve to this STATE! THNX!
I am very glad you got all of your stuff back Sorry that you had a difficult road. You got scammed way more than I did!
but what i hate more than rich people asking for stuff is when someone has something you need so they take advantage of it and higher the price making you pay more for it.
Oh yeah, that bothers me sooooo much. This guy named Schultz is the best at that. He raised the price of one horse egg nearly 5 times before he would sell to me each time saying, "x dias, no higher. Take it or leave it."
for me i was buying a stack of spruce logs so i asked in chat, 2 people said they could, one said offer the other said for 8 grass, the one that said offer ended up leaving, and the one for 8 grass was like so deal? like 8 times and in the end i had to pay him since no one else could sell me any. later jina went on and started selling stacks of any type of wood for 3 grass and i waslike dang it but might as well buy a stack for the future
I can't even imagine selling them for that price at this point. They're so worthless (to me). The problem is, being a super high donor, you get bored, or you run out of things to buy/need. Funny enough, the most basic items are purchased from the highest donors (large amounts of cobble/stone/wood/and so on) I just don't build, or anything of the sort, so everything I own is for other players.
