I was thinking of a new forum rating called Weird.

You know those posts that are strange, but just don't have something to rate it. Agree, no, Dumb, no, but Weird could e great. It would be a neutral rating, as it is not good or bad.

Maybe it could look like this

I like this. I would certainly get a lot of those rating though...
But here is the question: Would it be Positive, Negative or Neutral?

Yeah weird can mean like unique or that your creepy... neutral is the way to go.

 

I was thinking there could be a Thank Rating (Obv. Positive), because it's not really a Like or an Agree, you just want to like idk Thank them xD

 

If I may add on Winner. How about Random. May not be weird. But random.

Well, if this was added from the start, I would have a lot of those ratings...

Plus, I think it would be a good addition for the forums, I have always been using optimistic for the odd posts...

Too many ratings is a bad thing. Imo we should try consolidating the current ratings rather than add new ones.

 

Ones that aren't used enough/ not used correctly:

Old.
Creative.
Useful.
Optimistic.

 

I agree with you there but here's a way to think about it. If we remove these ratings, what would people use instead to signify "old, creative, useful, or optimistic?"

I personally would see

old = dislike
creative = like
useful = like
optimistic = like

 

To be honest, having agree/ disagree is partially useless.

Many people use like/ dislike instead already :3

 

There should be some form of variety though. We might as well delete all the ratings except three. One for positive, one for negative, and one for neutral. That won't be fun anymore.

 

Keep: Like, Dislike, Rude, Wierd

Old wouldn't be Dislike... each and every one of these ratings have a purpose along with MOST of the ones suggested. I agree too many is not good, but to little is just what noobkilla said, boring.
Winner I think is useless even though people use it... I mean you can just Like it. bad Spelling could be used as Dumb, but not all bad spellers are dumb... there will be pros and cons of every decision
