This has ought to be redundant. Literally I can't even see the left side of my screen without seeing "pRESS 123 2 jOIN mY iSLAND", followed by what can only be described as utter chaos "123...123... etc etc".

First and foremost, let's debunk popular "solutions" to this situation.
1.) "Just press F1"
Problem: Now I am unable to see my hot-bar, nor what item I am holding, nor anyone else's username that is on my island.
2.) "Just disable chat in Mulitiplayer settings"
Problem: Now I am unable to use any commands whatsoever, not /home , not /warp spawn , you get the idea...
3.) "Just install a chat disabler mod"
Problem: Since 1.2.5, I've been searching diligently, but to my surprise, after searching quite heartily through the mods on MC forums/Planet Minecraft/what ever else sites, literally provides NO mods that disable chat in such a manner that KEEP commands working, but STOPS the annoying spam from other members.


All that I ask:
Someone, anyone, just please install that wonderfully built and designed plugin you had back in 1.3?
Everyone knows how easy it is to install a single plugin to a server, and the benefits would easily (In my own personal opinion) outweigh the negatives of the maintenance required to install said plugin. If the plugin's removal is a result of moderator/administrative intrusion (i.e., a person has left the General chat channel, and needs to be contacted by a moderator) then the said moderator would still be able /msg the player in question, or the moderator could merely join that player's chat channel.

 

I could care less about the people trying say this is a bad idea, Although this idea blew my mind.

/chat Help [Help Chat]
/chat Coop [Coop Only Chat]
/chat Global [Chat with Everyone]

The amount of special chat areas, is endless. Plus could help reduce lag and spam within the global chat.
