I have been an active member of the forums for a good few months now. Although my posts/comments are minimal, I am very engaged with reading the new (and old!) threads/content posted here. However, I am still not allowed to rate anything. I believe you need to have posted 25 times to unlock that ability (although I could be wrong about this number). The forum rules state that we are not allowed to post farm, and I appreciate the fact that our comments should have at least a little meaning behind them. The rules also give an example of post farming: "In the suggestions and applications section users should not just comment "Support" - we have buttons dedicated to show this and instead we encourage users to provide constructive feedback to the suggestion or applicant. You aren't actually contributing to this thread, but it raises your post count." I understand that this is mostly intended towards people post-farming for trophies. But as a consequence it leaves many (if not most) forums users without a way to express our opinion. Sure, we can comment something like "I support/don't support this suggestion because x," but most people are not going to do that. Especially for every single post we have a casual opinion about. I do keep in mind that there are reasons for why the website is setup this way, but I think the bar is too high in this case. Thank you
You need to come up with some more strategic ways to post farm that won’t get immediately flagged as post farming
Oops, I forgot to make it a reply. Now I need to post again to make sure that you are notified of my previous comment
I agree with a post requirement for unlocking reactions, but I also agree that 25 is too high. The post requirement to apply for staff is only 10. That's a bit silly.
I agree, maybe they could make more posts count? I mean, just communicating with people in off-topic should be good for the server, right?
