Tridents are useless now. Can't throw them, can't place them.
I personally don't put great value in any of the 'rares' but I understand their value as players like to display them, but we cant even do this with tridents now.

I'm sitting on a bunch of leg keys but am hesitant to use them as I've already got 20 tridents I can't use.

While they can now be displayed in item frames, they are still not usable as they can't be thrown.

If that can't can't be fixed, then so be it but I would still like to suggest they be removed from crates or moved to a lower tier crate.

They seem to be working fine on Skyblock, I just threw one into the void and it didn't come back.

 

ahh, they are too, I just didn't hold it for long enough!
Though it was like a bow that just had a shorter range if held for less.
