Please change croppers to a different block. It makes no sense that they count towards your island hopper limit when they are not even being used as hoppers. Would also have a slight benefit of helping with lag.
We have a limit on crop hoppers also already. And crop hoppers work like a normal hopper just with some coding. So it wouldn't make sense to turn a crop Hopper into a different block that isn't designed to collect items. If people want to use more hoppers, then take down a crop hopper farm and you'll have a spare hopper. Maybe look into other farms that don't require hoppers like crop hopper farms do. I don't see this being an issue currently, so no support for this one.
Crop hoppers used to work very much like regular hoppers, collecting your crops and spitting them out the other end with the use of a little redstone. It makes sense that after the update they kept the physical item as a hopper even though it's now autoselling rather than collecting. It makes sense to request it be changed to a different item not included in the hopper limit. However with the expanded spawn distance (7x7 up from 5x5 pre-update) and the ability to automatically sell while afking anywhere, I suspect that they deliberately included croppers within the hopper limit in order to stop people building out of control farms. For example, my island has one of the only remaining 9x9 farms. This means I'm using 80 of my available hoppers for farming, and need to get really creative if I want to build anything else. Without the hopper limit there would be nothing stopping me and everyone else building all the way out to island limits which is something like 13x13. I could even set up 4 separate afk farms for people to load the whole island in for me. Nice idea, I'm mostly neutral on it but I don't think Crew will support it.
Could have a separate crop hopper limit that will display with the others in /limits. As well as changing the block.
