Basically, on forums dms, you can't edit the message after 5 minutes. I understand this could be due to people lying, so I suggest putting a 'edit history' button at the bottom so you can see what messages were edited

 

Yeah I'd support this, an option to see what edits have been made in a post sounds like it would make sense.

I don't think XenForo supports that feature by default. Maybe a plugin could be made/exists somewhere, but idk.

 

Given that moderators have it, it definitely exists.

This is an old thread (2016), but newer threads agree with it. I just linked this one because it mentioned both the permission needed and the enabled requirement. I'm aware mods can view edit history, but the request is more nuanced than that. It's not a native feature to allow viewing edit history unless you enable that user to also edit any post. Unless it changed in the last few years and no one posted anything about it since, I don't manage the forums I don't know.

There may be plugins now which enable this, again, I don't know. There weren't years ago, but it would surprise me if no one's come up with the idea by now.
