Has anyone ever calculated the amount of grass that gets added to the economy each day? With all votes/dailys/kits/VPs. I feel like if we had an estimated number and compared it to the amount of recourses that gets added with kits/DPs we could tell if there's an actual deflation.

Because to be fair, DPs never held their value 1:1 in grass. Their worth was never backed by the amount of grass circulating in the active players economy, if you know what I mean.

    15x50 - skytitans

    300x daily grass

    400x grass 100x4 from vp

    150g earned from crates

not counting non daily ranks but that alone is more than every two or three days 1000 grass being spent at trader and clay and obby is rarely bought by non shop owners

I asked SkyCloud about this on discord and his chatbot only records people who speak; so only the ranks who talk at least once upon joining can be counted. Do you have any suggestions on how people can access join data?

I don't know about prices currently, but people were offering 1.5 dc for my dp head soon after the christmas event. If prices have gone down that badly I'd say something real suspicious is going on right now.

I do agree that the netherite scrap has been having a lot of grass movement lately, but there's no way it's impacting the grass flow in the server. Scrap trades come around 1-2 times weekly at most since they're that rare, more if we got a really lucky week. that's 2.000-4.000 grass sinked from the economy, when I would dare to say we get like 60 skytitans and 10 skygods around daily minimum(from the people I see around on tab throught out the day when I'm online), which I'm certain it's way more than this value. That's like 7.000 grass weekly, while we also get 1.000+ grass added to economy from unscramble, and let's not discard the grass that comes from vote parties, voting and crates.
Said this if your purpose of this thread was related to dps, I can assure you it has nothing to do with there being no grass around. If dp prices have gone that bad it's because something very sketchy is going on behind the scenes, and I'd recommend mods inspecting it if they're willing to.

Relating the topic on rare items, I can only say someone has been exploiting the economy by buying up all stock in /shops finds maybe in an attempt to influence their price, which has been succesful lol(looking at them elytras and beacons). However, I don't know how the last dupe incident influenced these crate items around, and for how long it's been going for.

I'm completely against kits being buffed, as it would ruin the economy even more than it currently is. If cash flow has been an issue I'd suggest devs making other vanilla items relevant besides for /is levels, rare collecting and building.

Not really, except maybe a bot tracking the tab. But then again, to get significant data you would have to track that for multiple weeks. And we cant tell how much grass is added by crate rewars aswell. But with 300 DPs and thousands of hunt heads and the ever increasing number of new event heads......

There is simply no chance to achieve any meaningful collections, because it is simply impossible. That leaves little incentive for players to actually buy every head, increasing the deflation and number of active players ( me o/ ).

Furthermore, this is a clear trend for a while now leading to players rather collecting their grass instead of items. This hurts the entire economy as the DPs were once the great shift of money, from rich players to the lucky winners of heads. With no transfer of money the economic activity will slow down, no?

But why would people lose interest in collecting them now? There's always been new dps and people had interest regardless, why is there no incentive now? You're not telling me the coal hunt heads made everyone decide dps are not worth it anymore lol.

If you mean online players, the api. If you mean alerts of a player joining, just save the last time you checked the api and see who wasn't on it the last time.
In theory this will be far easier once the fancy new api things are done, so ingame bots wouldn't be needed for getting rank stats.

There were many players simply buying ALL the dp heads (me included) that have quit already (for various reasons) but in the old days it used to be the same head with just different colors before the 5x20 was introduced. In my opinion thats just too much. Doesnt have to do much with coal (though I dont see the point in those, they probably get botted a lot too).

I just miss the feeling when owning a DP head was smth special, not having SCs laying around of them. (But I think Im straying away from the topic here)

O I had no idea drop parties had different formats. But I do understand your point now, I've heard skyblock used to have thousand of players, and now we get a 200ish flow. I'd guess dps were more scarce with an higher player count, and nowadays they're too easy since half the players get one lol. Unfortunately, this is more of an issue with server dying out rather than the economy itself like MrEPro suggested, perhaps suggesting noobcrew to decrease dp drops taking consideration in server population would bring back more incentive to dps. Still, I'm astonished how dps dropped in more than half of the value suddenly within 2 weeks.

From what I observe, price for gift cards is pretty stable at $1:64. However, if there's no sale going on, I have observed many people sell their topvote rewards giftcards for discounted prices (usually 2 to 3 stacks below what the $1:64 rate is, ex: 22/23 stack for $25). It's also not uncommon for people to purchase giftcards for real $ on the store and then charge for what they spent. For example, it costs $45 USD to purchase a $50 card; some people buy and sell those at 45 stacks for $50 card.
