• Can I speak any additional languages? I only speak English. Although I am not great at speaking Spanish, I can understand most of it.

• Do I have the necessary means of capturing evidence? I do. I am able to capture and save chat logs via mods, in addition to having an extended number of lines for chat to view older messages in-game. I also take several screenshots in-game when I feel it is necessary, and I have the ability to screen record.

• How long can I be active on the platforms everyday? I am active at least 2-3 hours every day, but usually more if I am not at work or school.

• When did I first join Skyblock? I played on /classic around 2014-2016 when I was about 11-13 years old on co-op with friends. I’ve been actively playing again daily on /skyblock since June 2024.

• Have I ever been banned on any platform? I have not.

• Do I have any past moderation experience? I was briefly a helper on a much smaller creative server when I was 14/15, however the server has been since down and closed. My tasks were to moderate and prevent griefing, arguing, and swearing.

• Why do I think I should become a staff member? I think I would make a good addition to the team because I love helping out wherever I can. My main motivation to become a helper is that I want to engage and bring together the lovely and wholesome community of Skyblock. I love organizing, helping, watching things grow, and planning events. Becoming a staff member would give me the space to contribute my ideas, creativity, and help. The Skyblock Awards, an event I am hosting on /skyblock is just one of the many ideas and projects I’d love to share with this community. I am also very friendly and love interacting with others. It’s never annoying to repeat myself, especially if I am helping new players learn commands or how to play the game. I am a quick learner, I can de-escalate situations and remain neutral during conflicts.

• Do I meet the requirements for staff? I do. I have the time to commit and I have the space and will to adapt my play style as needed. I am familiar and well-versed with the discord, forums, and Skyblock rules. I have two-factor log-in set up. I own a discord account and I have a clean record across all platforms; I have never been muted, banned, or kicked on any of them. I am trustworthy, open to all criticism, and always enjoy being part of a team!

Keys, I cannot thank you enough for your thoughtful reply. This means so much to me. I cannot wait to run more events, and I am already planning my next one after the Skyblock Awards' successful turnout today! Events and engagement mean a lot to me, and importantly to the server. It's such a great feeling when you watched someone join the server and start with nothing and then they become something, and I love playing a role, even if small, in that. There's something so special about the place and for every person that sticks around and contributes the community in any kind of way, that specialness grows!

I believe that being a staff member isn't just about moderating and policing, but engaging and interacting with the community as well which is one of the focal reasons I wish to be part of it. I've worked in customer service ever since I've had a job, so interaction, mediation, and helpfulness isn't too difficult a task for me but more like a second nature. I appreciate you think that I could be useful to the team. Even if you're retiring, your support means a lot still, regardless!

Gamer, I love your judge analogy. I truly appreciate your feedback and I am so glad that you would feel comfortable with me making a fair and impartial judgement over you. It's an important part of my morals to view all people as equal, which means it is very important to me to view things in the most rational way possible and to not act upon emotion alone or bias, so this being visible to you makes me glad that it reflects. I also appreciate that you would want me accepted quickly and that you think I'm capable and active. Like my other replies, words like these are motivators to keep doing even more in this lovely community.

Hey everyone, I apologize for my inactivity the past two weeks. I have not quit and will return to my regular playtime soon. I've encountered some life/personal stuff that I am dealing with, but it's only temporary. Noted, Butter! I know I've been quiet lately, and I mentioned about a week ago earlier that I've been a bit inactive on all platforms, but considering that life stuff affecting me has been clearing up, I can jump back in and be more active than ever! I tend to read a lot of posts without providing my input so that I can stay informed still, but I'll do my best.
