Like how target made a limit of 1 per customer for like stanleys when they were popular, when I sell quartz at 10:1 often times one person just buys 100 trades, which isn't really fair, also for free shops.

Sorry if this was already suggested

i dont really see the need to add these sort of restrictions to shops. at the end of the day you have still earned your money and someone got a good deal for something they needed

Players with several alts could bypass it.

You could set up a system that fills the chest slowly. Fill most of the slots with cobble and a couple grass and just a few slots with what you’re selling. Another chest and hopper will just keep filling those few spots and restrict buying.

I would agree with you that it's unfair when one player buys out an entire shop stock from your island only for them to immediately restock their more expensive shops. It takes away cheaper stocks for players that can't afford bulk higher prices. But the best thing to do about that is learning which players buy out all of your stocks, and simply/is ban them from your island.

    Sadly no support from me
I'm not a player who bothers at all with the market aspect of the game but I do adore the simple fact I can bulk buy the things I need, often times I've needed for example multiple double chests of items... it would be terrible if I needed items and it was available but yet inaccessible since I've purchased too much - even worse when perhaps its the only person selling said item at the time

the only shops this could be useful for are free shops, for example i have a free dia pick shop with a sign that says to leave some for others but people still take all of the ones i keep in stock and leave none for others. other than that i dont see this being useful

Chestshops are supposed to act as a stand-in for live player trading and make it more convenient for people to buy and sell without constantly being online manning their stores. This suggestion states that they are only interested in adding a customizable option per chest based on shop owner preference to limit a single player buying everything; the owner retains full control of sales. Your point is that it would be very annoying if you were unable to spam buy from any shop for things you need (I also enjoy the spam buying feature because it's fun to see my screen fill up with purchase notifs :) ) . However, if this were a live transaction, the shop owner would already have the rights and the means to limit the number of items they sell to one individual player, so this suggestion simply offers more options for shop owners to control the automated buying and selling of their wares. If the shop owner has no problem with you buying all their stuff (which most people wouldn't since who doesn't want more grass), they would simply opt not to use this feature, which means you'd still be able to purchase in bulk from people who want to sell to you in bulk.

I voted neutral on this for now: I like the idea because it would help limit the abuse of free giveaway shops (food, armors, tools, building blocks that many people give away to new players). However, I also think it would add another confusing option to an already (allegedly) hard-to-grasp concept of chestshop-making. I know many people (myself included) use and make chestshops on the daily with no issue, but many many many new players struggle with learning how to make chestshops. Also, if anyone has any knowledge of these things: Would implementing this feature put another burden on the server by making it track and manage time-gated transactions for tens of thousands of shops and thus cause lag? Thanks!

Yeah, after thinking about it I think that it should exist for free shops, but not for normal ones

This also kinda ties in with a previous suggestion I posted about players having a limit on selling to your chest shops.

See here : Global - [Shop] suggestion | Skyblock Official Site

Though a difference with my suggestion is that it could put a limit on how many items can be bought or sold to a particular chest shop by multiple players,(mainly on eco), so as not to spend your full player balance from others selling to you. Whereas your suggestion is putting a limit on how much you can sell to one particular person. I think both are good ideas that could be worked on for future chest shop updates
