i have 24 spawners on the island.


there is no functional issue per se, i get to place the 24 spawners, bobs your uncle.

the issue is with the message seen in 'limits-warning.png' (embedded right below), it is recurring with a 2 or 3 minute cooldown. it shows up on _all_ cooped accounts, which is especially lovely.


i'm entirely convinced that the solution may be me being unable to count or anything of the likes. however, help would be appreciated, especially as i dont want to appear as a 'rule breaker'.

my guess is that stubbornly trying to place a 25th spawner (who wouldnt try) might have tipped things off.

edit: i did remove 4 of the spawners just now for other reasons. the messages seen above stay exactly the same :-(

 

There is a similar-sounding bug on eco, where if you don't pick up all your crop hoppers before resetting an island, a "ghost" cropper will still be in that chunk. It will show up as a counted hopper in /limits, and will not allow any other croppers to be placed within that chunk.

I wonder if this bug is something similar?

 

Have you placed spawnwrs down on other islands? With crop hoppers I think there's a limit where if you place too many down on other isles you can't place more down on your island
So it could be possible that it's similar for spawners. Or maybe the Isle was reset with spawners already placed before. And the old Isle logs still think they're placed. Just a couple of thoughts I have about this

 

as far as i can remember: nope. i did help out some users with /spawner but i'm almost 100% certain i've never placed a single spawner outside of my own island.

 

And it's not because you're in a coop and it splits the spawner limits in half. Half for each coop partner? Idk what it could be other than old island spawners thay bugged when the Isle was reset. Best of luck tho!✨️

 

I am in a coop actually. They all get the same message. If that's indeed the case, that'd be a fun bug

 

That sounds most logical to me, you have half the limits, your hoppers lool the same too, also half limits if I'm not wrong, so that makes sense it's half for each partner if two coops. I don't coop so can't test this

 

Thinking about this, i feel like in that case the warnings should've shown up way earlier than they did and not when i try and place #25 for the first time.

Moreover i noticed that by now the messages disappeared, likely because like i mentioned in the edit on the first post because i removed spawners for another reason. They did however persist until reboot earlier, so that likely fixed it.
