Hello Just want to raise this and see people’s opinions on it. A lot more players are now asking about what blocks are best for being used and the percentage(%) each kind of block gives towards island level. Just wondered if it would be possible to get a command similar to /gen where you see the ores spawn rate for cobble generators. But for /blocks level so people could see which of each block gives the most? Even basic blocks like stone and cobble, give a % but would be nice to know the exact details on how much it contributes. Don’t know if there is a command already. But feedback is appreciated Thanks Legend_craft
There's no public list of island values. In fact, there is no definitive set value per block as the algorithm changes based on the amount of that certain block placed on your island. The system is far too complicated to compress into a simple command like that. The information is also not public, which I prefer. It adds a mystery as to what block will perform well or not. Not having this information available also encourages people to experiment with blocks, which is also good. Personally, I don't like having everything handed on a silver platter.
Unsure if showing what each block is worth is a good idea but it would be nice if Noobcrew were to finish part of the 1.19 update by making some of the 1.13+ blocks give island levels.
bump, Also would like this system updated as I've placed around 1dc of smooth quartz blocks on a build so far and my is level on that island is 39 -_-
im still confused, can you explain further I'm wondering why some blocks are very consistent like lapis and quartz gives basically no is level despite being pretty expensive Edit: For the most part, I've felt that only the glass even gives a change, and the quartz is doing nothing
Some blocks will hold more value than other blocks. But with a half life. The more you use one type of block, the less it'll be worth. Example, if you use diamond blocks more than another type of block, that other type of block will eventually be worth more in levels than the diamonds. So it's a good idea to try out different blocks, and mix them up too. Craft some blocks to allow their value to increase. As an example: Chisled bricks are a great block for example. You have to craft bricks, then slabs, then chisled bricks. 3 steps, but that tripples their worth.
Smooth Quartz blocks were added in the 1.19 skyblock update, so they give 0 levels as the 1.13+ blocks haven't been added to the algorithm "yet".
