I'm going to build some "Beginner's Boxes", a shulker box with some starting items to shorten the grind for some things. What would you put in the box?

Things I will not include:

• Grass
• Dirt
• Sand
• Netherite or any of its constituent components
• Fully enchanted Diamond or Netherite items
• Buckets
• Lava
• Obsidian

Things I'm already planning on including. Everything would be a stack unless it doesn't stack, then it would be one:

• A beehive with 3 bees (maybe with honey, not sure)
• Flowers (possibly double high)
• Charcoal
• Moss blocks
• Eggs
• Carrots
• Potatoes
• Melon Seeds
• Pumpkin seeds
• Bone Block
• Nether Wart
• Soul Sand
• Bamboo
• Sugar Cane
• Fully enchanted fishing rod
• 1x Diamond Pick (maybe with an enchantment)
• Flint and Steel
• Saplings (at least one stack, maybe 2)
  • Jungle
  • Spruce
  • Dark Oak

So, what would you add?

I'm also considering an Armor/Weapon box, but utilizing "found" items, unlike my occasional Christmas Gift Boxes that are full of fully upgraded diamond everything, including with and without Silk Touch (gotta save something for Christmas). All items would be fully repaired with at least some enchantments. All of them would either be from nether loot chests, killing mobs, or completing quests. The majority would be iron and gold. Worth giving away? Suggestions on this or the Beginners Box?

I'd recommend kelp for sure!
Its farm-able, a fuel source, therefore able to sustain itself by providing its own fuel, an alternative food source and additionally a unique looking building block

 

A book listing all the afk chambers that give you money. Good early game vitamins for new players (and me when I want to get money for standing still)

 

Enchanted gold armour? Gold is pretty cheap. And i’ll chip in and supply you them if you need

 

ive always wanted to do something like this on skyblock but i've never really gotten into it bc 1. i was kinda lazy and 2. i have no clue what to put in but i really love your list of things you're planning to put in
i think maybe you could add a book with all the basic things new players need to know, like voting or /daily or commands to know how to get to places like /warp [...]
and possibly there could be a coupon for some money not in the form of paper because that can be easily taken advantage of but as a book signed by you for maybe like 10k $ ? idk much about how much eco money is a lot of money except for millions obviously but yea this is what i had in mind

 

Make /chall shulker boxes, I'll guarantee you'll make bank from it if you make it at a fair enough price but it would be too much trouble as well

 

Interesting idea and the second person to suggest a book. Here's the thing...I've never actually created a written in book before. While I know it's not really difficult, it would be something new for me to do. I'd need to come up with something easily doable and duplicatable.

Now the thinking hat is on.

 

Tooke me a minute to realize what that would be, but yeah, that could be interesting. Now I'm curious how much stuff you could put in a box to complete the most challenges.
