Would have to say the /vanish command should and only should be for staff members for obvious reasons. I don’t see a reason why anyone else should need /vanish other then wanting to hide from everyone on the server. The rest of what was suggested I fully support. But not /vanish
Yes that's exactly why someone would want /vanish. It's the point of the command. The reason isn't that obvious, care to explain?
/vanished is used so staff can remain hidden if Investigating players islands or players hacking without being seen, /vanish takes someone completely off the radar. This also includes not being able to be seen moving around, building etc. you are invisible and only other players in /vanish can see you. Players using it is not necessary just because someone doesn’t want to be seen by players online. Unless the server edits the plug-in to allow other players to use it without being completely invisible but with this I still don’t agree
I explained earlier that it would not make you invisible. You cannot go around doing nifty things, especially on other people's islands, completely undetected.
This would still mean they would have to get a new plug-in or edit the one they have which again just causes many issues and time etc. I understand your point but you need to also understand it from the staffs point of view too.
If you wish to hide from tab when afk, then maybe having a toggleable /afk command that turns off messages, payments, mails, and other notifications. It can also grey out your name on tab. The point of the list if to show all players currently on the server, afk or not. Only staff have acess to vanish for obvious reasons. These I'd support, having an /ehome and a /player warp too could be a good idea. Would spawners give us hostile spawnes or only change normal spawners to animal ones. If they change passive spawners then I wouldn't support this, spawner market is good atm on eco and it would ruin the value or crate spawners. However if it gave us new mob types such as the ability to change a monster spawner, then that could work?. Spawn mob would be cool with the new mob types post update, and would spawn up to 2 at a time enough to breed a pair and then have a cooldown to limit the use like on survuvals skytitan. Extended ah listings would be cool too. And extended Isle ads to a degree. Maybe the rank could include cheaper trader options or shop trades, having speed commands and other player movement commands could be cool. Such as elytra fly. It would take away the elytras value perhaps, being able to fly snd move like you have one worn, but then if you're buying a 250$+ rank, a 18$ elytra isn't that much of a trade as a player command.
Only problem I see with this is the rank having discounts in trades and shops, wouldn’t be fair for the people who don’t have ranks. But overall I like the ideas Abbie nice to hear from you!
I want coloured nicknames and the ability to set a separate warp for my home and for visitors. I don't care about anything else.
I get that and agree that it could be a considered paytowin advantage, but it opens to other possibilitys too. I think a custom warp or something would be rewarding without giving a major advantage over non ranked players
I have been advocating this for so long. I’m honestly convinced there’s a certain percentage of people who would pay for a higher rank literally just for the status lol. With that said, my priorities for Overlord would be: - Colored nicknames - Ehome / separate visitor spawn areas - Invsee (I understand the argument against it, but honestly it was pretty handy for making trades and for non-mods to resolve issues between newer players when someone would “lose” or “steal” something that is still in their inventory lol) /enchant I’m fine with either way. I think it’s nice that enchanted books are a market, but on the other hand, I also remember a day when ranked players were just doing /enchant for free all the time which helped out new players.
Some Perks I'm against: /enchant Having a market for enchants on an economy server seems way more fitting than having one rank have a monopoly over enchanted items. Enchanted items are of the few items that players actually trade between each other. /invsee Privacy! You could read books made by other players while they are on their own island without them being informed at all! You could no longer farm lucrative items without someone finding out. Sometimes you'd get a random Overlord say in chat "what are you doing with all those spawners skylandia?" and it'd just be rude, invasive, and make the skyblock experience very unpleasant. I firmly believe this is strictly a duty for staff, not players, to sort out. /spawner Spawners inherently have different values due to the usefulness of the mob it spawns, and how rare the spawner itself is. Having every spawner be interchangeable just makes it so the overwhelming majority of spawners will be set to the same type: the one that makes the most money. This is opposed to naturally progressing from cheaper spawners to more expensive spawners that make a lot of money. Setting a visitor spawnpoint This should be a thing for all players, ranked or not. Though I'm fine with /ehome being an Overlord/ranked perk. Player warps Overlord should not be the only rank allowed to make player warps. Though to prevent alts from exhausting popular warp names, I believe this should be a ranked perk only. Make it so every rank can make them, with Premium/VIP/Elite/Highroller/Overlord allowed to make 1/2/3/4/5 warps.
I understand the argument against /invsee and frankly I can't disagree with any of it. I still think it would be fun to have, though.
If overlord was added again i would not want /invsee to be added because of privacy and also i do not want everyone seeing my inventory
I agree /invsee would cause a lot of problems with people who also want to keep what they have quiet, for example rares, dp heads etc, books that might be for friends only. I understand people think it’s a cool idea. But, I see this being more negative than positive.
With regards to /invsee - you could always make it work like /tpa where the person has to allow you to see their inventory. Although I feel like focusing too much on one command is getting a bit off topic, since the suggestion is more about the rank. Perk ideas can come later.
